Just returned from a great weeks stay, Lovely helpful wardens who keep this site immaculate, the toilet block is so clean & I have to say Wow the most powerful showers i have experience on a club site.
I dropped a tick for piece & Quite as i noticed a school playing fields adjacent to site with floodlit football matches a couple of evenings & two ticks for families purely as there is no children's play area. Excellent bus services to Cambridge, City1 & 3 every 10 mins bus stops are a short walk away from the site both also calling at the nearby Tesco superstore, handy for us motorhomers not wanting to move the van!! Also local shops a short walk in Cherry Hinton High Street & the Robin Hood pub. Weather during our stay was not great but hey it's November & a lovely time just relaxing in our cosy van. Of course my last thought goes out to our site Great Wardens, at Cherry Hinton & all over UK, who in my opinion do a Top-Notch job at making our Holiday's possible & keeping us safe while on Club sites. Thank You!!!
Good situation
Lovely spacious pitches, peaceful and well situated for Cambridge. We cycled in through a park, along a brook and then a direct quiet road to the centre. Great fun. As you can imagine Cambridge is very cycle friendly. Great weekend!
Visiting Cambridge
This site is very convenient for visiting our daughter who is at university in Cambridge. The walk in actually passed her Halls of Residence!
The buses are also easily accessed and frequent.
The site was very peaceful so we enjoyed a relaxing few days.
A great situation
Another good week at this site. It is in a disused quarry and is secluded, fairly quiet with lots of wildlife. Facilities are excellent with a wide choice of pitches. Just across the road is a Wildlife Trust nature reserve in another quarry. There are so many places to visit from this site, a week is not enough.
A great stay
We are new to Motor Caravanning, only started June 2015 when we purchased our first motor home, we have tried to visit as many CC sites as possible this season and our last stay at Cherry Hinton was one of the best. Excellent facilities and friendly staff, some noise from what I believe was a sports field just over the tree line but not really a problem. We set up in pitch 45 which is in a clearing so very bright and close to the toilet block. Excellent bus services to Cambridge, choice of two routes a ten minute walk away and a park and ride just a mile away. A pub also ten minutes away which we didn't get a chance to try. TV antenna hook up so no problems with adjusting aerials. We would rank this site very highly and are likely to return.
One to go to if you get in early
Spent 4 lovely days here, can't get in until 1pm but at least we managed to get a nice open spot. Some spots very dark and very low down like numbers 20,21,22. Staff very friendly and toilet block spotless and radio 2 playing. As we have a motor home this site was excellent for us. Village pub and shops just up the road and lots of choices of buses into Cambridge. Really enjoyed it and will be back.
nice site dark location
lovely site but just a bit too secluded. very dark due to surrounding trees , having said that it was very well kept and spotless facillities too . ideal for visiting cambridge use P&R BUS . Ely worth a visit to climb cathedral tower. just take care at site entrance !!!!.
Perfect location
For those wishing to explore the city and the surrounding countryside this site is the perfect location. It is well served by local transport being only a few minutes walk from bus stops. There is also the added bonus of a local eatery close by.
The surrounding countryside is beautiful. We are keen cyclists and benefited from Sustrans routes taking us north to Anglesey Abbey NT property and Wicken Fen, both well worth visiting and also a
lovely tour south visiting many villages and RSPB Fowlmere.
The site itself was peaceful, very well run with excellent facilities. Wardens were friendly and helpful. Some pitches are small but this didn't detract from an otherwise perfect site.

Pegasus
This site was lovely. Compact and with a very "quirky" layout. It was lovely and peaceful. only broken by the sound of children playing in the school next door - a happy normal sound.
Visited IWM at Duxford - brilliant day well worth it.
Wardens very sociable and helpful. Site, as is the norm with CC sites, was very clean and well maintained. Well worth a return visit.
