Much as expected...
A convenient site for visiting Cambridge, with excellent facilities maintained to a high standard by helpful and hard-working wardens. Vey rainy when we were there, with quite a lot of standing water on the pitch and access - and in wet weather the site feels rather 'hemmed-in' and gloomy. 'Dog walk' could be dispensed with, and entrance improved for pedestrian access, with better walk-way and lighting - a bit hazardous at night. Expensive for a couple with no awning.

lovely site & great location
Brilliant location for visiting Cambridge. Stayed 3 nights but you really need longer and having a large motorhome we found the nearby bus service fantastic. There is also a 24hr Tesco just down the road for replenishing your stock. Wardens gave you all the info before you asked. Will definitely return.
A hidden oasis close to Cambridge
This site is easy to get to via M11 or A14. Close to bus routes (5 minute walk) and 1 mile from Park and ride into Cambridge. Located in an old quarry it is on various levels, a bit like 'rooms' with 5 to 10 pitches in each. Unfortunately the area we were in was the only one without its own WI-FI mast so reception was poor. Some areas quite shaded so watch where you pick if you like to be in the sun. Great for Cambridge and other attractions/ places. I'd recommend Saffron Walden and Anglesey Abbey.

FANTASTIC
Recently spent a short break here and as a site it would be difficult to better it. Friendly, very helpful staff, super clean facilities and a wonderful location. The bus service into Cambridge is just around the corner, (every ten minutes) plus lovely walks on the doorstep, we will be back sooner rather than later.

good location
had a 3 night stay at this site, and as we have found with all club sites the blocks were absolutely spotless, site was very easy to access, and very close to bus routes. The layout was a bit odd as the site is in a quarry, as the site was quite full we had to pitch up in very low cull da sac, which seemed very dark , however as the weather was extremely hot, we ended up being grateful for the shade. We spent a lot of time in Cambridge which is a beautifull city, and intend to return.
Convenient for buses
We like visiting interesting cities such as York, Oxford and, of course, Cambridge. Our aim is always to find sites convenient to bus routes so we can use our national bus passes.
The Cherry Hinton site is perfect in this respect; a short walk to a choice of two bus routes into the town, both of which run every ten minutes or so. If you take either route in the opposite direction you reach a very pleasant Tesco superstore.
Across the road from the site is a nature reserve made out of a lime quarry.
The site wardens are very pleasant and helpful, and we really enjoyed our short stay.
Lovely site
We stayed for a couple of nights. The site was full but was very well kept and a lovely friendly welcome from the wardens. To say the site was full had no queuing for the showers and enjoyed listening to radio 2 being played in the toilet block which were very clean.Easy for visiting Cambridge and had a great time. Would use this site again.
