No toilet/shower block tends to mean families won't use it so it's pretty much adults only. I hope it stays that way. Couldn't comment on toilets as there aren't any. There is no nearby shop or pub, the village has nothing. It's just over a mile to the beach where there is a beach cafe but it only opens from Easter to September. Llangefni is the largest town, only a fairly short drive away. LlanfairPG (I can't spell its full name) has large shopping centre of Pringle/Edinburgh Woollen Mill etc.but often runs out of food in the cafe but a cafe across the road is excellent value. Anglesey Transport Museum is well worth a visit. It's a private collection which got out of hand but only opens March to October. Anglesey more or less closes in September which is a shame for out of season travellers.
3rd Site Stay
Stayed for 5 nights visiting family on the island. Site is what you expect for the caravan club, very tidy and well looked after, I only gave a 3 for facilities as there is no toilet or shower block. Wardens gave me a very friendly welcome and provided all the site information available. Really good place to set up base for visiting places on the island and there is a pub at the entrance to the site if you like to have a drink or two. If you like walking there are plenty of places to venture and only about a miles walk to join the coastal path. Mobile phones were useless, I am Vodafone and my girlfriend is EE and we both couldn't get any service but the Wifi on site was very reliable.
Lovely family site...
We have just returned from a week at this lovely site. The site is well maintained, colourful flower displays welcome u on arrival along with the friendly wardens. The wardens were helpful, approachable and obviously enjoyed their role and maintained the site well. Noise levels on site were higher than expected due to large number of families. However the kids all had a wonderful time (ours included)making friends and playing together - most of noise caused by few kids who weren't being supervised by parents, but once the family left the noise levels dropped significantly! The site was pretty full but you didn't feel packed in. Pitches were well maintained and beautifully level. First time haven't used leveller in a long time. From this site we explored the whole island as well as going to the mountains /mainland. Ideal location for so many beautiful days out. We had a wonderful holiday.... a big well done to the wardens for maintaining the site so well. We will definitely return again - we rarely go back to a place more than once. Still so much to see and do we didn't get around to. Next year!

A cared for site
We have been to Anglesey many times but never before to Penrhos. We have certainly missed out! The setting is beautiful, quiet and well maintained. The wardens were helpful and certainly hard working. The hardstanding pitch 84 we were on was immaculate ...no weeds, litter, old bits of plastic, etc. Well done!
We did look at the site in reviews before we booked and I have to say we did wonder a little....yes the facilities are not 2017 but they are the cleanest ,freshest we have used. Soon to be updated I believe. There are red squirrels on site too if you are lucky enough to spot them...husband did!
We shall soon return. Well done to the wardens ....well earned praise.

Will be returning
Just back from 7 nights at this fabulous site. No facilities, no play park, no children, just total peace and quiet at a very picturesque site with very helpful and pleasant wardens. Don't get me wrong I don't have a problem with children, I take my own grandchildren away in the van, but sometimes its nice if there are none or just a few around. Never been to Anglesey before and what a fabulous area it is.
Very peaceful
We loved this little site. It's so quiet especially in the morning as having no toilet block means no doors opening and closing! It's very neat and tidy and the wardens do a great job. None of the manic mowing and strimming on some sites. Very close to a pretty little dog friendly beach. Lots to do in the area. The only thing that needs addressing is the dog walk. It was out of the entrance and was just a very narrow muddy overgrown path in woodland. There was also a stone wall to climb over. We just went to the beach!! Apart from that it was just perfect!
Very nice well run site. BUT
Very nice well run site with friendly wardens. Good walks for dogs and friendly people in village. BUT BEWARE. DO NOT USE THE FIRST 3 PITCHES(sorry to shout). These pitches are situated under Pine trees which drop pine needles 24/7. Thanks to the Caravan and Motor-home Club policy of not being allowed to wash outfits on sites, it is a nightmare trying to keep them clean without damaging paintwork or windows. You also have the problem of trying to keep them out of your car and van. They get in through windows, on your footwear and even through the fly screens. You also have to be careful when having a barbecue as they also drop on the food.
Apart from this had a very enjoyable time and will definitely return in the future.
