Brilliant Location to discover Anglesey

We came back from here last weekend 13/9/20 after staying 10 nights. The site is very well kept and the wardens are lovely & friendly. Both wardens always seem to have time for everyone. All questions on the different areas /places where answered with lots of other information too.

Lovely peaceful site

Even though the site was full for our stay it was still very peaceful and pleasant. It is very handy for visiting all of the island.

Scoop da poop !!

Staying on Cae Mawr at the moment , lovely site , no facilities which suits us , been coming here for years. However could irresponsible lazy dog owners please take note , the site is not one giant dog toilet , it is up to you to exercise your dog off site and not amble round aimlessly til your dog performs on somebody elses pitch then scuttle off back to your own. That empty or even occupied pitch could have a small child playing on the grass tomorrow and as dog owners I'm sure you're all aware that dog poo can have dire consequences for health . KEEP IT ON A SHORT LEAD , KEEP IT OFF THE GRASS AND TAKE IT OFF SITE TO EXERCISE IT .THANK YOU

Lovely site but!

Lovely site with hard working wardens, arrived here the second week after lockdown was lifted, there are no facilities here but you should know that before you arrive, so don't complain, that's why we buy vans with all the facilities! Now I'm going to make a controversial comment which is not specific to Cae Mawr, dogs! I have been furloughed for a long time and watching youtube etc. with people recommending their must have accessories for their caravan or motorhome, yet none recommend a dog even though it's clearly the number 1 accessory. One outfit turned up on site with 6, yes that's correct, 6 dogs. Now i have nothing against dogs but once one starts barking that sets them all off, whilst there we had one offender which the wardens dealt with very efficiently but on what should be a peaceful site, yapping dogs ruined it. Like a previous reviewer, I don't enjoy watching dogs on toilet duty whilst eating. So, CAMC can we have an option to select dog unfriendly sites!

Hard Working Wardens

I am always impressed by CAMC wardens and these two were no exception. Janet, in particular, went out of her way to accommodate me and both worked very hard all the time I stayed on site to make everyone’s stay enjoyable. This is a well kept, peaceful site with few facilities - great for adults who enjoy the great outdoors and don’t need to be entertained. My dog and I will definitely be back.

Lovely Site but Warden allergic to dogs?

This was our first visit to this site. It is a lovely site and very quiet. The completely level pitches are at the bottom of the site and everyone was so friendly when we were there! Probably more dogs on the site than people as plenty of great beaches nearby that are dog friendly. We were a bit surprised that at many beaches car parking was £3.50 for 4 hours unless you knew where free parking was so do your homework. Anglesey is a lovely island and we will return. One annoying thing however was haven driven for 4 hours so a bit tired when we were setting up the warden told us our dog was in the way of access to some of the grass pitches - fair enough. He then said he was allergic to dogs and to move "it" meaning the dog. We were taken aback by the abrupt manner of the comments and for a site that has so many dogs a bit odd such a warden is placed there. The wardens had only been on site a couple of weeks and the female warden was very nice and helpful but very disappointed in the way were addressed!

return visit

We have visited this site since the late 80s and always enjoy the location on Anglesey. The site has always been a credit to the hard-working site managers, who maintain it to a high standard. It is hard to criticise the site with the exception of the attitude of dog owners who, despite knowing that they should not allow their dogs to foul the site, persist in walking their dogs on site for toilet duties, admitted most of them do pick up, which isn't a pleasant sight to watch when you're sitting in your van having breakfast! Then they persist in depositing the said waste at the service points in with the domestic waste, instead of in the dedicated dog waste bins. This is particularly bad when members have two or three dogs. Sadly, this seems to be becoming the norm, not just at Cae Mawr, but on all Club sites.

Another enjoyable stay here.

Good clean well maintained & set out site. Ideal location for Anglesey & N Wales. Over the years we have stayed here many times & will continue to do so. No toilet block but that's OK & is reflected in the very good prices. First class peaceful site. :-)

A pleasant stay

We booked in for three nights, using the site as a stop over before moving on to a rally event at (just a mile away). We expected a site that was at the same high level as all the other Caravan Club sites we have stayed on, and we were not disappointed! This site is well kept, nicely landscaped, ideally sited with easy access via the surrounding main roads and in a good location for all the local attractions. The Wardens were friendly and very helpful. There is no shower/toilet block but this was not a problem to us. If we return to this area, we will b e using this site again.

Lovely peaceful well laid out site

This is a lovely peaceful well laid out site. We knew there were no toilet facilities but as have our own we were not bothered by this. We were greeted by extremely friendly wardens and given plenty of advice and always got a wave as they passed when working on the site. Nice to see people so happy in their work, they should be commended for this as have had totally different at one of two sites of C&MC where the wardens do not seem to have the same approach! We are on holiday, we want to see happy faces lol. No children on the site, to be honest there is nothing for them except plenty of grass but plenty to do in nearby Benllech. Would return no problem if in the area.
