My wife and I plus our dog have just returned home after an eight night stay at Cal Mawr which I can recommend for anyone wanting a quiet, peaceful site beautifully kept with friendly wardens. Best way to describe this site is simply lovely.
Peaceful and relaxing
We've stayed here a few times and always have a nice holiday. We normally have a pitch at the bottom of the site but this time stayed nearer the entrance. It was a lovely pitch . Nice and open. The wardens are so friendly and helpful. Well kept site without the manic mowing other sites have. Most members abided by the rules . Sadly we recently lost one of our dogs so this site was ideal for the first time out without her . We recommend this site for a peaceful stay as there's no play park
Great stay in a great location
Great site ... no showers or toilet block but well located (can walk to the beach) and very friendly staff. Peaceful and quiet - good walking opportunities. Will visit again.

Immaculately maintained site
We arrived a bit early but that wasn’t a problem as there were quite a few vacant pitches. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. Check in was swift with all the information we needed.
First impressions of the site were just how beautiful it was with manicured lawns, flowers beds, lots of pots of colourful flowers everywhere and so much space!
After filling our water we found a lovely pitch surrounded by grass, very level and spacious.
We had 3 nights here and enjoyed every moment, other guests were so friendly and chatty. We did a few walks from the site to the 3 nearest beaches on each of days, upon returning we would have a well earned drink in our new ‘local’ which was directly outside the site entrance-perfect!
We’ve only been Motorhomers for 8 months and we always said we wouldn’t go to a site twice-I think this site will be the exception!
Warmest of welcomes
It had to be said that we received the warmest of welcomes from the warden on this lovely, quiet little site set in the countryside. We enjoyed the peace and quiet here especially since there is no children’s playground and no facilities, it made for a lovely relaxed atmosphere. The site is small but feels open and with plenty of space. Red squirrel watching comes as an added bonus.
Great walks in the area, lots of dog walks accessible from the site. Benllech is in easy reach and offers food and shopping. Lligwy beach is minutes away by car and is probably the best. Get there early to find a parking space and stay all day, brilliant beach cafes there too.
A peaceful site within walking distance of beaches
This was our first trip to Anglesey in many years and staying at Cae Mawr was a real pleasure. The wardens were helpful and attentive and the site was immaculate. They advised on the most suitable pitch. Just a short walk to the beach and along the coastal path. We will be returning soon.
Wonderful Site
First time staying at this site in May with our 6m Motorhome. Lovely very warm and friendly welcome by the Wardens who provided us with useful local information. The site is beautifully maintained and very Covid safe with lots of Hand Sanitisers at key touch points around the site. Having a small Motorhome presented no problems for getting out and about, lots of parking available for Motorhomes of all sizes, wonderful beaches and fantastic Coastal Walks. Highly recommend this site.

Lovely Site with very friendly Wardens
Great welcome by the wardens and the site is spotless - lovely walks from the site down to the beaches and coastal footpath walks to Moelfre and Benllech
Also the best chippy at Benllech for Gluten Free fish and chips
Wi-Fi was good and dog walk was super too
We will return
A lovely site near to some great beaches
Stayed at Cae Mawr in August and the lack of toilet/showers didn't bother us as we were using our own facilities anyway due to Covid. Lovely, well kept site of hard standing and grass pitches. Many of the grass pitches are sloping slightly. Our hardstanding was large and very flat. There are some lovely, dog friendly beaches nearby and good eateries and grocery supplies in nearby Benllech. Larger supermarkets are about 7 miles away in Llangefni. Only moan is that the dog walk is actually off the site and is only a path which does get very muddy in bad weather.
Excellent staff and site
Very helpful staff and excellent dog walks from site, would highly recommend
