simply stunning
Weekend break
Our 4 night stay.
What a lovely site. Situated in an old Lime Quarry surrounded by trees. There is a County Park adjacent with paths that lead to Solomon's Temple (which gives fantastic views over Buxton and the surrounding area) and down to Buxton itself. The site is well placed for scenic trips to Bakewell, Leek, Macclesfield or many smaller villages of interest, such as the Plague village of Eyam. The literature says that phone signal is poor but we had no problems, but an aerial extension lead Is required to connect to the TV point on the hook up post as there is little signal in the area. On Friday evenings a Mobile chip van visits. This is one site we will definitely be returning to.
