We stayed at this site with our 5 year old grand daughter. the site is very nice and very well kept. the shower and toilet block was immaculate with a dry area for dressing. The bonus was that the shower wasn't on a timer! We enjoyed a lovely day at Cotswold Wildlife Park which is within walking distance of the site. We can recommend the Cotswold Arms - a 5 minute drive from the site on the roundabout. Food was very good.
Well located
I only stayed one night en route to Art in Action. The site seems very well located for exploring the Cotswolds and Oxford areas. Being able to walk over into the Cotswold Wildlife Park is amazing! My pitch was on the road side of the site but I didn't find the noise intrusive - and there were occasional low flights overhead, presumably into RAF Brize Norton, but they stopped as it got dark. The facilities were very tidy and clean and the tourist information was extensive. My only gripe is that the wifi was down. There were notices posted all over the site apologising for the situation, and it was just one of those things. Oh, and the site has beautiful trees - I was parked under a cherry tree and had ripe cherries falling on the roof overnight: much pinging onto the roof and leaving sticky juice trails - and also the local pigeons were pigging out above, with obvious consequences! I'd return to the site for a longer stay another time, without a doubt.

Excellent Site
We recently stayed on this site for 11 nights. The wardens were very helpful and the facilities were always spotless. The pitches were well spaced out. Lots of places to visit nearby and the Wildlife Park was certainly value for money. The bakers shop in Burford was a favourite!!
Perfect pitch.
Burford CC site is beautifully managed and excellently placed. We have just spent ten days here and a wonderful time. The wardens are cheerful and helpful and the facilities are first class. The site is very handy for the Wildlife Park ( and you get a discount on the admission ) and convenient for the A40. The nearby Burford Garden Company provide excellent meals and many a happy hour can be spent just browsing. Burford is a fascinating place and the Park and Ride facility for Oxford makes it easy to spend time there too. If you are not an aircraft enthusiast it would be best to avoid the week of the Fairford Tatoo - we left as it was starting and airplane noise and road traffic was escalating.

Beautiful Burford
Stayed in this Caravan Site for nearly a week at the end of June and found everything from the welcome from the Wardens on arrival to the wonderful weather we had so relaxing. The cleanliness of the site and the toilet block were excellent. Great site for touring Oxfordshire and the Cotswolds.
Beautiful Burford
Having just spent 3 days at Burford just wanted to share our experience. Lovely clean and tidy site, nothing too much trouble for either wardens or assistant wardens who we learnt were both in their first year.
The site was a short distance from Burford itself and that only became a problem if, like us, we were in a large motorhome not suited for such towns however the peacefulness of the site along with the occasional animal noises from the nearby Wildlife Park more than made up for it.
Well done and thank you to all, keep up the good work.
Lovely site with excellent facilities
We enjoyed our weekend at Burford. The site is very clean with excellent pitches with lots of trees and green space. There was plenty of room for the children to play games next to our camper. It is great to hear the monkeys and lions from the Cotswold Wildlife Park opposite. The play area for the children was superb. Staff were very helpful and friendly. It was a shame that there were no walks directly from the site, the roads are too fast and dangerous to walk children along, we attempted one walk but turned around and went home as it wasn't very safe with the cars and coaches coming out of the Wildlife Park. Great for access to beautiful Burford and the Cotswolds though if you are taking your car.
peaceful, clean but could be better placed
We have just spent 8 days at this lovely site. The site is well set out with a good children's play area, an adequate dog walk and a spotless shower and toilet block.
The shop is very handy and the wardens friendly and helpful.
We did see some aircraft but it was a pleasure to see the hurricane go over, quite a treat!
The Wildlife park across the road is well worth a visit and we could hear the lion and monkeys from the site at times.
The only downside from our perspective is that there is nowhere to walk from the site. The statement on the website,
'The Rose and Crown at Shilton just over the crossroads has excellent cask beer and serves top quality food.'
We thought was a little misleading, Shilton is over a mile away and there is no footpath at the side of the road even if you wanted to walk there. (although we drove to the pub and it serves excellent food.)
The site is a little out on a limb with no public transport.
However, the surrounding areas are beautiful and you will be spoilt for choice of where to visit.
Loved this site
We have just returned from a camping trip to Burford Caravan Site. We were made very welcome by all the wardens who were really friendly and accommodating. The pitch for our tent was excellent, spacious and in a peaceful location. We were very impressed with the facilities on site, showers and toilets spotlessly clean and a well stocked and reasonably priced shop on site selling a good variety of items including everything you would need for a BBQ and ice creams which was perfect for the weather at the time. The site is really well situated for a visit to the Wildlife Park and lots of picturesque villages. We had a really wonderful time and cannot wait to return.
