A very good site

Stayed here in July for two nights as part of our NC500 trip. It definitely meets the usual club standards with well laid out spacious pitches, tidy grounds and clean shower facilities. The bonus was the dog walk right alongside the site adjacent to the golf course. It’s a good mile or so along the beach into Brora which is worth a visit. It isn’t clear whether there is an alternative path through the dunes which might make it a bit easier. We also took advantage of the fish van who has a small but high quality range depending on the catch.

Peaceful site

Stunning site in a great location Wardens very friendly and helpful, always a good morning/afternoon with a smile. Short walk to the beach through the sand dunes and golf course (watch out for low flying golf balls) Shallow beach, so would be great for children My only wish would be an upgrade on the shower block Will be back

Another Seal of Approval

Stayed a couple of nights in June on our NC500 trip - the reports of the beach were true - huge and full of wildlife and you can walk for miles. The walk to Dunrobin Castle was easy enough made all the better for the basking seals on the shoreline - catch the train back to Brora, like we did. The castle is worth a visit too. Nice clean site.

3 nights at Brora

As others have said this site is small, peaceful and clean . The relief wardens worked very hard Ito keep it that way. So amazing that it is on the dreaded NC 500 and has a virtually empty huge beach which we really loved for sea swimming and long walks. An arctic tern colony on the dunes is to be given wide berth and dogs to be kept on a lead( though they weren't always) as there were fluffy chicks about. We had hard standing the first night and requested a change to grass for our windbreak and this was no problem. Can recommend this site.

Brora - July 2021

Outstanding customer service from the get go. Can not speak highly enough of Gordon and Christine - on numerous occasions, we witnessed customer service that went above and beyond: really delightful to see. Site is extremely tidy and well maintained and toilet block super clean - it would be nice to see the facilities getting an upgrade. The location was fab, a 5 minute walk and you were on the most stunning beach. An easy 20 / 30 minute wander along the beach and you were in Brora Village. Great access from A9, all be it the bridge is challenging, proceed with care and you should be fine. We look forward to returning

Lovely location....

We are here for 4 nights..... peaceful location with an entirely empty beach all the way to Brora. Site is a mix of grass & hardstanding, shower block & amenities kept very clean & well managed. Very popular site. A special mention for the 'relief' wardens on site, Andy & Deanna as we had a lovely welcome, are always smiling & have been very hard working & efficient in their managing of the site. Hence the review before we leave. Temperatures have been a modest 16*C compared to temperatures back home..... but scenery & coastline views have been amazing.... Well worth a visit.

Tenting

Just back from a one night stay, last minute, three couples on motorcycles and small tents. This is a lovely site and the tent pitches were great, level, plenty of space and easy on the tent pegs. As with most club sites the facilities were spot on and the Wardens were more than helpful. Going back with caravan in the autumn.

Huge Thanks to Gordon

Had a really pleasant two night stay at Brora last week. On our first morning on-site we woke up to a flat tyre. i found Gordon and Christine and asked about any local tyre suppliers/fitters in the area. Without hesitation, Gordon was there with trolley jack and torque wrench to whip the old tyre off and fit the spare - which turned out to be not entirely straightforward, the fact that we were on a grass pitch not helping. Once that was done we drove down to Tain and had excellent service from Godsman Tyres - so minor crisis averted. We spent the rest of the day on Brora Beach which is stunning. Once again, massive thanks to Gordon for going above and beyond the call of duty.

Brilliant site and already booked for 2022

This was our 7th or 8th stay at Brora so you know we like it! Gordon and Christine are great ambassadors for the club, always eager to help and ensure your stay goes well. The are excellent site managers and ensure the facilities are always up to a high standard. Site is for the quiet and peaceful stay seekers. Beach and general countryside are spectacular and all within an easy drive - the beach 5 mins away over the Golf course. We (rather I ) did manage to miss the local fish sales that come every Wednesday! Local stores include a very well stocked Coop and a super butcher in Golspie. Local general store has racks and racks of last minute fix category. The ambiance of the site has changed, not for the better IMHO, with the number of visitors who stay for one night increasing dramatically over the years. The transient nature for many reduces much of the CAMC community culture.

THE ULTIMATE PEACE AND QUIET SITE

If you want tranquility look no further. Tucked way off the road beside a golf course (through which you can access the fabulous beach in 5 minutes) this is one of our favourite places. You get a choice of hard standing or grass and you only hear the birds and the occasional passing train. (Except one morning at 6.30am when my neighbour set off his car alarm! But we all make mistakes!) One improvement from our last visit was the perimeter road round the site had been repaired. If you like a curry Sids Spice in Brora does an excellent take-away. The place is very well looked after. Not a place where there is all that much to do locally other than walk and bird-watch but Dunrobin Castle is a must see. Not great for families with small children. Great place.
