Stayed 3 nights at the beginning of March and enjoyed it very much in spite of the improvement works going on. Cycled into Broadway - there is definitely an incline on the way in as the warden told me, but it meant it was quicker getting back. Excellent dog walking via the permissive path under the railway bridge adjacent to the site - linking up with both Wychavon Way and Cotswold Way - but the pavement is narrow and the traffic heavy and fast so be careful - but the scenery and views definitely worth it. Wardens excellent, site clean and spacious - a wonderful gateway to the Cotswolds
We only stayed here for one night on our way to the Lakes but we will be back. The site is well laid out with good sized pitches. The lower ablution block was exactly what we would expect from a CMC site. Clean, plenty of hot water and very good water pressure, all important stuff. The staff were welcoming on arrival and the shop stocks a good variety of goodies. There was work going on on the site but we did not find this too intrusive. It's nice to see the money being spent on the upkeep of pitches. We went to see the old horse-drawn carriage in the top toilet block and it's an absolute beauty, well worth a look. The kiddies indoor play area is a brilliant idea, not that we have kids but I'm sure those that do can make good use of it on wet days. It's a 10 minute walk into Broadway which is a beautiful village, just be mindful that it's very expensive to buy anything there. Will take a trip on the steam train once the station at Broadway opens. Petrol garage right outside the entrance to the site is a bonus for those who arrive low on fuel. Thanks.
A very good site, wardens very helpful and friendly, close to the town and easy to explore the area with a motorhome. We have found this area very dog friendly with a number of places that will accommodate dogs if you want to eat out. Cleaning the showers in the afternoon is definitely a hit as it means no rushing in the mornings resulting in a relaxed start to the day. Well done all.
returned from a good week at Broadway great site been a lot over the years first went when it was just a small site at the top by the railway buildings and watched it grow you can never get tired of going there the wardens are great and do try the scones from the office they are to die for plenty to do in the area just a short walk from the town good dog walk just go out the site turn left under the bridge then left along the side of the railway keep going to the far end turn left follow the road to the end of the lane turn left to the main road turn left and follow the main road back to the site.
Booked to stay 3 nights last week. Really nice welcome on arrival with suggestions on good pitches that were available. Chose a pitch next to the upper toilet block.
Really impressed that the toilets were cleaned in the afternoon unlike other sites that always tend to be closed just when you want to use them after a lazy lie-in!
Information room contained information about local walks and how to get into town and importantly which pubs & restaurants were worth visiting.
The caravan display and history of the railway goods yard were particularly interesting.
We will return in 2018 and hopefully the railway will be up and running by then.
Mobile wood fired pizza visit was a special treat - very tasty.
We enjoyed the site so much that we stayed 2 extra nights.
Thanks to the wardens for all their hard work in making Broadway a special place.
We spent 4 nights there last week. On arrival the Wardens were so "pleased to see us". I've tried to be more descriptive, but failed, so I'll shut up. Anyway, the ablutions were cleaned in the afternoons instead of mid to late mornings, when most are out exploring, lunching etc. Such a good idea, it suited us very well. Next year the GWSR Broadway Station will be opening, extending the line down to Cheltenham. As the station is just across the road from the site entrance a great chance to go to Cheltenham without the car. The site is on our list to return sometime. Wardens - thank you so much for making us feel so welcome, WELL DONE! PS. My husband bought 4 cherry scones for us to have for tea AND ATE THE LOT!!
Lovely site and spotless. Wardens very helpful and friendly, thanks. We spent 10 days here in February 2017 and this was our first "winter" trip. We were pleasantly surprised on just how full the site was. Really nice being able to walk into Broadway.
Very well laid out site, clean flat and easy access. A shortish walk in to town where there is plenty of typical Cotswold antique shops and cafes etc. Plenty to do in the local area but probably more biased to adults.
2 nights in February
Being new to motorhoming we decided to take few long weekends closer to home, we selected Broadway based on previous reviews and really glad we did, from the moment we arrived we felt welcome the wardens where great so friendly and helpful 🙂 Having booked in we drove around the site and selected a pitch on the lower level, the pitches are of good size ours had bushes to the side and rear so it felt private when relaxing in the van, the facilities where immaculate and didn't seem overrun even though the site was nearly full
Braving the snowy weather we took the time to walk into the village it's seems a long way when staring out from the site but it's worth it Broadway is beautiful with a great Budgens store for all essentials and lots of boutique stores for those looking for something more special
On the Saturday night the chip van comes to site, the food was good but at £7.80 for a small fish & chips its not something we will repeat
All in all a great stay at the site defiantly not the only visit we will make here
Spent 3 nights here during February. Location excellent for visiting Broadway and surrounding area, very easy access to site. Small amount of road noise at far end of site but even this was too little of a concern. Facilities very clean, staff always friendly and helpful. Some out of season work being carried out by contractors which was well managed and did not detract from a very pleasant stay.
