The staff were great. The facilities were refurbished since our last visit. We walked to Brighton which was invigorating and back. We know the marina which is also worth a visit. A great trip.
Overall very clean well kept site, even though never used toilet or shower blocks, Park for kids was great. Only low point was lack of willingness to help me hook up on Sunday from wardens, as it was just myself and my 6yr son, and I don't have a mover. As it was my son ended up being a good help.
Will go back but only in winter months as all hardstanding.
Stayed on the Brighton CC site for two nights 6th and 7th November. Very friendly and well run site in close proximity to Brighton centre. It took us about 45mins to walk to the town at a fairly stiff pace, but there are local buses nearby if you prefer. The access road doesn't have any pathways and it quite busy with traffic as there are a lot of sports areas close by, so caution is needed. The Marina Village is a bit over rated in my opinion, ok for eating but don't go there expecting a lot of shops. We had a great stay on site, the facilities are clean and warm. The wardens are really friendly and run the site in a relaxed but efficient manner. Shame one of my leisure batteries decided to burn out - we kept wondering where the smell of rotten eggs was coming from!! All in all a great stay and definitely a site we would return to.
Ideal for exploring Brighton and the south downs. We especially liked being able to walk to a bus stop and catch the (very frequent) bus into town at any time of day or night. Lidl and Co-op stores just by the bus stop were convenient for picking up supplies.
A warm welcome and thanks to the new parking restrictions the access road was easy to get up and down. Large hard standing pitch on a well kept site. Good facilities. Evening noise from nearby football pitches butnot over intrusive.

I have reviewed before and wanted just to echo my overall satisfaction with the site and add a further suggestion for improvement. I found the water in the wash cubicles rather luke warm and the constant radio in the background intrusive and unnecessary.
Thanks to the staff for their helpfulness and hard work.

, The site has some very friendly and helpfull staff i had problems with the Wi Fi and they kindley got in touch with the supplyers and sorted it out for me .We like staying at Brighton because it's a good site to bike down to the town centre and also beyond and it's got good cycle tracks which are off the road away from traffic . You can cycle right down by the sea front and to sevaral places which is vert good and it is flat no hills .
You can also catch the bus to Eastbourne which is a nice day out and the bus stop is only 10 minutes walk from the site and they run very frequently which is a great help to us pensioners .
We booked in here for 2 nights at the beginning of November, after phoning and being recommended to join the caravan club, upon arrival we were made to feel instantly welcome and a part of the community. Site was awesome and a real credit to the team who run it. This is a real jewel of a site, within waking distance for the marina and for those who like a good walk you can walk to the pier and the town which we managed on both days, local transport a short walk from the site but very regular. Can't get over how immaculate the site was and look forward to planning more adventures in this location
We booked two nights on this lovely campsite and ended up staying for 3. As already mentioned, the site is close enough to Brighton and the super Marina complex for it to be easily accessible on foot or by bus, but in a beautifully quiet valley location. We didn't have the best of weather but braved the mizzle nevertheless to walk to the Marina on our first afternoon and into Brighton on the second day. Our third we spent again at the marina, watching Spectre the new James Bond film. The site is beautifully maintained and the facilities are clean and warm. The warden on duty on our arrival and the subsequent day was very helpful and friendly and told us about the buses and how to walk into Brighton. The big plus is the marina which is only a 15 minute walk which has lots of shops and eateries, an Asda, plus Casino and John Lloyd complex of either interest you and a multiscreen cinema. The buses are also regular and quick and stop close to Lidl or Coop on the way back. Definitely one for a return visit or two next year when the weather is a bit more clement. Although I have a feeling it is pretty popular in the warmer seasons.
