Weekend in Brighton

With the two caravans and one motorhome all parked up it was time to enjoy one of our groups birthday weekend. Despite a couple of negative reviews (not deserved) we found the site clean, well kept, friendly staff and quiet. All the things we expected from a CC run site. It being the end of school half term and veteran car run weekend the site was absolutely full. A very efficient bus service is available within half a mile which will connect you to all parts of Brighton. The coastal service to Eastbourne is well worth a ride and there is the opportunity to hop off and take in some exercise on this magnificent coast. Birthday treat was a trip on the Brighton Wheel at sunset, some good views over the city. We visited the Pavilions on our last trip but its an excursion you should add along with a stroll around the Lanes. The cycle routes are very good giving access all along the Brighton seafront and beyond, again within half a mile of the site. Enjoy. Alan

Perfect for Brighton. Close enough but not too far.

We used this site in our Motorhome at the end of October so that we could attend a Joe Bonamassa concert at the Brighton Centre. It needed to be close enough to be able to Bus or Taxi into town as we didn't have a car and this site is on a bus route so was ideal. But when we looked at how far the walk was after dark to the road from the site, we decided to book a taxi which cost £10 each way door to door, which was perfect.  I had read poor reviews about this site in the past and I can only say that I was dumb founded at how nice the site was compared to the reviews. It was immaculate throughout, especially in the facilities (which had radio 2 playing when I went in there), and the layout was superb, plus the staff were all very friendly. The motorhome service point was very well positioned and clean. Cycling is very safe with the sea front only half a mile away with its promenades and all flat (except the last little run up the road to the site). We will definitely be returning, whether to another concert or not. Excellent.

Perfect for all the Family

Stayed at this site during half term with my partner and our 5 year old boy. We had a fantastic time and I would highly recommend to all. The staff are fantastic and very welcoming. The facilities are just amazing, very clean and loads of hot water. There is a laundry which is ideal when you have little a one who spills almost every drink. The site is in the perfect location far enough out to be quiet but close enough to not be isolated. The Marina is 1 mile from the site and parking is free for 4 hours, also you are not penalised if you return to the marina car park in the same day. There is also a huge ASDA at the Marina so getting supplies is not a problem. Love the site and will most definitely return. Sincere thanks to all that run the site.

Everything you need.

Great location that is easily accessible even with big rigs. Facilities all well kept and spotless by a really friendly and very helpful team. The kids on site seem to enjoy the play areas and for us dog walkers there were plenty of options from a quick sniff about to a full blown downs hike. Very close to Brighton so you can easily leave your vehicles and stroll to the town. Its a must visit site.

Great site

Very good facilities - all were spotlessly clean and plenty of water and waste points. Great location - just 15 mins walk from the marina and only 40 mins from the centre of Brighton. Despite going during school holidays when the site was full it was very quiet and the staff very helpful.

Excellent site. 2 suggestions

I like everything about this site except 1 minor niggle and one less so. MINOR. Why do we need a radio DJ dripping on in the toilets. Background musac would be fine. DJ verbal d is irritating to me. LESS MINOR. We had a pitch right next to the service/toilet area and probably as close as any pitch. It was quite noisy for us especially caused by selfish campers leaving engines running. Perhaps a sign would help. Staff very helpful all round and found us a quieter spot. Facilities great. A few essentials in the shop would be useful as it was a long carry to the shops.

Good site

This is a well laid out site and level too. Nice hard standing pitches, bit difficult to get the awning pegs in though! Service areas well spaced around site, but maybe a few more water taps could be available. Showers and laundry excellent and nice and warm too. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Only downside is it is quite a walk to get to a bus for a trip into town so we took the car, beware of extortionate parking charges, 4 hrs £26.00, advise take a taxi!

Fox Terrier Fun Walk

Fabulous site with very friendly, helpful wardens. Immaculately clean and very well maintained, it was a pleasure to stay there. Only a 15 minute walk to the Marina where there are plenty of restaurants and dog friendly pubs. We attended the Wire Haired Fox Terrier walk on the beach and will definitely be back to the site, hopefully in the summer months. Highly recommended.
