not brightest in Brighton

This was our third stay here. We were given a warm welcome and found a pitch on a very busy site. There was building work going on on the Brighton College site so there was a level of site noise. This is above the club site so quite noticeable. The one other gripe was that before we left we decided to use the loos on site and found one block closed and the other had barriers because they were cleaning. The team were a bit off hand when we requested to use them and told us to use the Disabled Toilet. This is not what I expect from the club. I am grateful my motorhome has its own facilities. One block for the site was not enough.

Great City Site

We always enjoy this site because of its great location within easy bus or cycle distance of Brighton Centre. Now the entrance road is cleared it makes it much more pleasant walking down to the Marina and buses. All facilities were very clean and the check in and out was very easy.

Maybe a little too clean or not wanting to make it dirty

The shower and loo blocks are really very nice, warm, very clean and even piped music. What more could you ask for!! You could ask for both shower blocks to be open so that you do not have to queue for a shower as I did on Monday 22nd Feb, and my Husband had to on Wednesday 24th Feb. I can only assume the second shower block was closed to keep it clean and therefore saving the wardens a job despite no, the campsite wasn't by then full but it was still pretty busy. Come on caravan club at nearly twenty quid a night why should a block be closed down.

Not what i expectred at all

On arrival we were greeted by friendly staff that explained to a degree the peg colour markings and then told us we could choose any pitch, after we chose two adjacent pitches and set up, we had to move as they were RV pitches, so not quite as we wre told. we were informed that as of monday the second toilet block would close as there were not enough bookings to justify it being open, as a result on Tuesday and wednesday people were queueing for the showers. We settled down to relax a little on Saturday afternoon, only to be bombarded by horns, drums and chanting, it appears that the site is next door to a football club. We was informed that the site speed limit was 5mph, but sadly the warden on his quad didn't seem to know this. We look forward to the worthing site opening again, as it is far nicer

Fantastic Site for families

We were so impressed with this site, great pitches, great facilities and great location. The playground was super for the kids. The rating we gave lost a star because the site doesn't offer a clubhouse, bar or evening entertainment but knowing this in advance and being so close to Brighton town centre this didn't matter much! Also, whilst a fairly quiet site it is right on a football ground and on the night we arrived we had Brighton FC playing someone-or-other and the vuvuzela's, drums, chants and trumpets went on until 9/10pm! The kids slept right through but it put us off  reading/watching a film! The site is in a dip so no TV reception...but who needs TV eh! Have to say the wash facilities were great, warm from first thing in the morning so you don't step out of a nicer hot shower into a cold wash room. They have special infant washrooms that can only be accessed with a cod that had baths, showers, baby change tables, toilet, bench and radio! These were invaluable for us and our children. It wasn't explained to us clearly what the colour coding meant of the pitches so we parked up in a no-awning pitch when wet had paid for awning...but it all worked out as my husband pulled and muscle and so wouldn't have felt up to taking an awning down anyway!! All in all this was a lively pitch at a very reasonable price!

Brighton in February

This was our second visit to the Brighton site. We liked the location - it's easy to walk, or get a bus, into Brighton from the site. Scored 4 for Peace and Quiet (could have been lower) during our stay as there was a lot of building work noise during the day from an adjacent building site. Cannot really comment on the 'Good for Families' question as we had no children with us. The team were very helpful and friendly - thank you team. Not sure how access will be during the summe as I recall from our first visit the appraoch can easily get blocked up and it seemed this could still occur when the area gets busy.

Pretty good overall

We stopped for 1 night during the Feb half term...booking on line about 20 minutes before arriving - which seems was a good idea as it looked pretty full when we pitched!  Facilities were excellent as you'd expect as was the price (for a CC site in a good location).  We'd paid 35% more for a stay at the C&CC's Chichester site earlier in the week - for limited facilities in a worse location.  Anyway, only down point - the CC web site stated a shop was on site - so we walked back from Brighton, past shops - planning to buy bread and milk form the site shop - only to me told it wasn't actually open until March!  Misleading.  One of the lady wardens was awesome  -asked what we needed - pretty sure she was about to offer us supplies from her own fridge!  We had enough to get by with for the night - but was a lovely gesture.  Very recommended!

Visit 12 to 17 Feb 2016

This was our first visit to the Brighton site. We liked the location - it's easy to walk in to Brighton from the site. However, we were disappointed that both toilet blocks were closed for cleaning at similar times in the mornings (10.30 to 12 and 10 to 11.15). The club should not allow such overlap. Also during our stay there was a lot of intrusive noise during each weekday from an adjacent building site. The club should warn members about this in advance of their stay.

First time CC visitors

We are new to the CC and were not sure what to expect. We had a super time, everyone was so friendly. The facilities were first class. Great pitches not too close together.  Easy to walk to the bus stop to get to the city centre. Great with bikes to cycle along the sea front.  It wasn't very quiet though. Building works near by. We will be back :-)

Fish and chip van goes on site every Fri evening. bins emptied daily. not too far away from Brighton center and the marina either as a walk or drive. would defiantly recommend to anyone we will be going back and that,s for sure. staff very friendly. like i said a little gem
