Used this site for the Brighton Marathon and couldn't have asked for more. Wardens friendly on arrival, good size pitches and immaculate toilet blocks. Site located at approx. mile 7 on the marathon course. Took an hour to walk to the start line at Preston Park. Used the Marina to eat, lots of choice and only 20 mins from site. Centre of Brighton about a 2 mile walk away. Found this site to be quiet with walks for dogs nearby. Will be back next year :)
Staff at Brighton
We stayed on this site from 9/4/16 until 13/4/16 and on arrival we found the staff to be very pleasant and helpful. They kept the site immaculately clean during our stay. As we have stayed here for many years due to visiting family in Brighton I can say that this site is in the best state of care that we have known it.
On leaving I had trouble with the 13 pin plug on our new caravan, ( a common problem I discovered) so I went to the office to say I would be leaving late. Not only did they have an alignment tool on hand but Tim proceeded to fix my problem even though it was a busy period for him. All in all they made a pleasurable visit to family even more so.
Lovely site - shame the couldn't embrace the marathon
This is a perfectly good site. Facilities are to the normal high stand. Location is quite and only a couple of miles to the centre of Brighton. Having been to a number of large city marathon's this is the first time we have stayed in a location that ignored the event. 10s of thousands of people coming to a city is great for the economy and tourism. But to.make it special you need to adapt. Especially as I suspect a large proportion of people staying this weekend are here for this event. So here's some ideas for next year. Do a deal with the taxi firm and arrange shared transport for competitors to the start. Booked in advance.
Allow late check outs that day so that people don't have to vacate the site at a stupid time and search for parking.
Perhaps a restaurant would consider offering pasta takeout meals. Or cooked to order by reception.
So it's worth a visit if you are coming to Brighton but don't expect any special consideration if you are here for the marathon weekend. It's not their job.
What a pity
This used to be a lovely site, relaxed and with a bit of a buzz about it. The location is wonderful, between the south downs and with easy bus ride to the city. It is now expensive and it seems to have been taken over by officious wardens (maybe warders) who seem to be more bothered about enforcing petty rules and regulations about parking and riding round on their noisy and smelly little tractors which fill the site with diesel fumes. This used to be a lovely site, we have been coming for years but will be looking for an alternative.

A great site
This was our first stay at a Caravan Club site and it exceeded all our expectations. The facilities were amazingly clean, the site -although busy was very peaceful and the staff friendly. Great for visiting Brighton although a little step by foot there is a bus nearby, however we walked one way and caught the Volks Railway back which was lovely. We will certainly be back
Fantastic!
We just spent 5 nights at East Brighton Park and were really impressed with it's cleanliness and facilities. Our dogs were welcomed, we were welcomed, and we found all the staff very friendly and helpful. The situation is ideal, nestled beneath the South Downs for amazing walks, and close to the marina and Brighton town. Lots of local shops nearby (10 mins walk) and a visiting chip van on Thursday evenings. There is a more local walk for the dogs, in a lovely park with a cafe for coffee and snacks. The showers/toilet blocks are spotless, heated (it felt like) and with piped radio music, very welcoming. A slight disturbance on the Friday night with drunken lads leaving the next door football club, but nothing threatening or ongoing. A genuinely lovely site which we have already booked again for Whitsun week.
Bit like living in Singapore with so many rules and regulations
On arriving on our pitch after 4 hour drive-parked up dogs on lead to go outside
Immediately jumped on by warden "can't let the dogs do anything on this site- you have to take them off site"
Try telling the dogs that!
People smoking in the toilets
Kids playing in the toilets and racing round on bike
Black bin bags left outside some homes- got at by the foxes mess everywhere
During our 4 night stay dogs were routinely being exercised on the site and not a word from the wardens- we felt the only silly idiots walking (a very long way) to let the dogs do the necessary
Dog walk nearby Huh!
If you are going to have very strict rules then the apply to all-if not don't have them!
Sorry to all scoring this a 4 or 5 star- for us its one of the worst sites we have visited.
Never again
A great location
We stayed on this site for 4 nights, and it was great. It's a large site right on the edge of Brighton, so it attracts lots of families with young children, so it's not the quietest of sites. The location itself is great, come out of the site and turn right and you're in Brighton, turn left and you have the coastline to explore. We visited Eastbourne and Beachey Head, both are beautiful places.
Well located site
We spent 3 nights at Brighton and found the site to be very conveniently located. A short walk to shops and down to the marina and a pleasant walk into Brighton. Bus stops also a short walk away and we were able to use our bus passes. The bus to Eastbourne is along a very scenic route.

Site Gets Better
Been visiting this site twice a year for 14 years. Over the last 2 years the toilet/shower facilities, pitches and flowers at the site entrance have been the best ever. The wardens work extremely hard to keep standards high. Good large pitches with good generous space between pitches. This site is extremely easy to access. Excellent dog walks from site, or walk into Brighton along coast road. Bus stops within 10 minutes walk, for Brighton or Eastbourne. Can highly recommend the local fish and chips shop at Whitehawk. Good play area for young children. Can be a little noisy when local football team (Whitehawk) are playing at home. So if like us your dog is sensitive to noises it is best to find something to do off site on match days.
