Fantastic site

We stayed here with friends October half term 2016. Easy to find. Excellent facilities for all ages. Lovely and quiet pitches. Although gravelled pitch no problem to put pegs in as long as you take the right hammer. Only 10 minute cycle ride into Brighton but unless you have plenty of money we paid £11 for 4 hours!!!! The toilet/shower block was spotless, lovely and clean, plenty of hot water and the use of a free hair dryer!! All members of staff were friendly and helpful, but could do with more leaflet information in the office. Looking forward to returning here again soon.

What a difference

It has been a year since I last visited this site and what a difference a change of wardens has made. The site now has a welcoming feel, the wardens are cheerful and friendly and this site is immaculate. We had a hot water failure on our second morning, which meant we all had to use one show block, but even that didn't dampen the experience. So well done to the new wardens they are doing an excellent job.

Excellent Site

We have just returned from an 8 day stay at this site. The Wardens are very welcoming and keep the site immaculate. The site is on several levels and  The pitches are large. We hooked up to the site TV connection and did not have any problems, we used our phones to tether our ipads to wifi and had an excellent signal.  The facilities are immaculately clean and the showers warm with plenty of hot water.  It was easy for us to take the 10 minute walk to the bus stop where there is a bus every 7 minutes into Brighton Town Centre, the public transport system in Brighton great with frequent services to many area around the City and along the coast.  The Marina is a leisurly 20 minute walk from the camp site, there is a large ASDA there and since the redevelopement of the Marina there are many more restaurants to temp you, you will also find  shops, a cinema and other entertainment venues within the area. If you are walking back to the site during darkness I would advise taking a torch for walking up the road leading to the campsite. We will return as soon as we can for another visit.

A little gem.

Stayed for three nights. Easy to find the site with good roads into the site. I must say that this is a very good site. The wardens are all helpful and chatty and the site is well kept. Public transport is but a short walk from the site and is exceptional with buses going almost anyway in the area. Bus passes with the national red rose symbol are excepted on almost all buses. A trip along the coast on the X12 express bus to Eastbourne is a must for the scenery alone. Brighton shopping is also exceptional, the town has everything and every imaginable store. This is a very popular site and it's so good, that I would like to see it graded to a ' members only site'. It's almost impossible to get a pitch in the summer because non members are snaffling a lot of the pitches up and members not being able to book a pitch. Anyway this is still a highly recommended site out of season.

First visit

This was our first visit to this site but it won't be the last, the site is well up to the standards we've come to expect from a club site, about half a mile from any traffic it's nice and quiet, just a stroll down the road and across East Brighton Park to the catch the bus that runs every 7 minutes to the heart of bustling Brighton and frequently running buses to surrounding towns, we left the car along side the caravan as parking is both expensive and difficult in Brighton and let our bus passes take the strain, would recommend this site and the Fish and Chips van that come to the site every Thursday.

very peaceful

This was a very lovely site with friendly polite and helpful staff. The site is very clean and tidy. You are not that far from the sea front and are about a 40 minute walk to the I360 experience which has lovely views across Brighton.

Good stay despite the rain

Our first stay at this site. Arrived on a Friday night, usual warm welcome from the wardens. Site was busy and indeed full on the Saturday night. But why was one toilet block closed on Friday night? Did not appreciate a walk in the cold and wet to another block. Having said that, the facilities were good and clean, up to the usual Cub standards. Site felt quiet although it was full. Will come again for another visit in the future.

ANOTHER GOOD STAY

Love this site. Stay at this site with my husband twice a year to visit our son and daughter- in- law. We are never disappointed. Friendly hard working wardens, large pitches, plenty of space, spotless facilities. Plenty of walking direct from the site, brilliant for dogs. Buses within 10/15 min walk to all areas of Brighton and Eastbourne, as is local shops. 15/20minute walk to marina. Only given 4 stars for families as don't have small children so couldn't rate it fairly. Just back home after 9 nights, although site almost full every night it was very peaceful, and quiet. Weather was mild and dry for this time of year. Fish and chip van and wood burning pizza visit, didn't use so can't review them. An excellent stay. Will be back next year.

Good site but long walk to get water

Stayed two nights 11 -12th October 2016.  This is a very smart, manicured site, really clean and well laid out.  We liked this site very much, well, in almost every way, but for the long walk to get fresh water.  With only two water points (that i could find) it can be a long long walk if you are pitched on the far side. But don't let this put you off this is a very nice site and well worth a visit.  Very clean, very quiet and facilities are modern and sparkling!  The staff are friendly & welcoming Be aware you will need steel pegs for the hard pitches! Would we come again - Oh! yes, no hesitation.
