Fabulous warden team

A new site will always take a little time to settle in and mature, but Bridlington has been given a huge head-start by the appointment of the very best warden team. Breaking down at the entrance way would spell disaster at most sites and doom for the holiday, but the whole team worked seamlessly to assist us to a pitch and ensure that we were safe. They showed such grace and charm as well as skill and efficiency. Wardens can make a significant difference to the success of a trip, and Paul’s superb team did just this. The site is young, but very well appointed with two toilet blocks maintained at different times. Stephanie and I especially appreciated the use (where possible) of electric transport and maintenance tools on site, making for a restful visit. Proximity to the coast is key to Bridlington, with a short walk to Devils Dyke or alternatively to Sewerby Hall and gardens. This part of East Yorkshire has so much to offer. Overall, a superb, well appointend and excellently maintained site.

Lovely quiet Weekend break

First time at this site and very impressed. We were in the new side of the site which looks like it was only completed this year; pitches large and facilities (shower block) spacious and brand new. Very well spaced out pitches and so quiet. Despite being on a main road the site is well set back and hidden by trees, so no noise from outside the site. Small shop at the entrance which is also reception. Be warned they don't take late arrivals, Site is on the outskirts of Bridlington. There is a nice pub called the Ship Inn about a 15 min walk and a lovely bike ride along the coast into Bridlington. Bus stop outside the camp turn-in but coming back the buses seemed to stop after 6pm and booking a taxi was difficult (was a Saturday night). Will definitely return as site is very peaceful. TV reception poor, but they have boosters at each pitch (you need your own cable or they are £15 from reception). Didn't try the Wifi but 4G was excellent.

A Lovely Week on the New Section

My wife and I spent a lovely week at the Bridlington site and especially on the New Section. It is laid out lovely with wide flat hard standings and the grass was so lush it looked almost like artificial grass, but it wasn't. For motorhomers it is ideal because the bus stops are just outside on the main road with one direction to Flamborough Cliffs and the other into Bridlington. They run every hour, so pretty good really. This will be great when the new shrubs and trees grow up. The children's play area was being upgraded so I imagine if it is done to the same standard it will be good. My only criticism is that too many cars/caravans and motorhomes tend to speed down the straight road leading to the exit. This is a great side because no speed humps have been fitted, and to be perfectly honest we don't want them. So take care and stick to the speed limit and the site won't have to fit them.

A nice stay

Stayed last week for 3 nights with our 2 year old daughter. A lovely, big clean site. We loved the family room which had a bath in it which our daughter loved splashing in before bed time. Recommend visiting Sewerby Hall and Gardens. A great place for both kids and people with dogs. We would return to Bridlington. Only downer was the play park was shut last week, never mind.

Huge!

We are usually users of much smaller sites and when arriving on site to see a vast baroness in front of us, we wondered whether to turn around and make alternative arrangements elsewhere. So glad we didn't though as over our 4 night stay, our feelings developed and so much so, we will be back. The weather wasn't the best when we arrived, the wind was blowing and the site was very quiet, looked desolate almost and lacked ambience. As more outfits came onto site however, the atmosphere did change and we felt more at home. The layout was great with lots of small inlets with varying amounts of pitches to choose from so even though the whole site is massive, the smaller pitching areas certainly on the old side of the site were sort after and we chose one of those. The newer side of the site just didn't look or feel inviting. I think once shrubbery etc is more established this may improve but it did lack personality and I likened it more to a commercial site. The heated floor and music playing in the washrooms was just fantastic, love a bit of radio 2 so was happy to hog the showers for longer than I usually would, good job it was quiet haha. The wardens were approachable, friendly and hardworking. We enjoyed lots of dog walks and from what I can gather, there are lots of things going on in the area. We don't do touristy things so cannot comment. A much used and brilliant idea is the paddock at the back of the site so that doggies can have some off lead fun in a safe and secure environment. I only spotted one pile of poo, shame on that owner!!! Good basic shop in reception. Bins and water / waste / recycling areas always clean. We would visit this site again.

the new part of the site.

Having always used CL`s before this is our first experience of a club site.Even though i left 5 stars i believe the new part of the site hasn`t been planned very well. The fully serviced pitches are nearer to the waste and toilet dispersal areas,of which there are only 2 and on some pitches it`s a good walk if you are elderly,so i suggest if you can book a pitch from the site plan if you can and secondly if you like your wifi, bear in mind you have to pay for it and it`s not a very good reception.Other than that it`s well maintained and clean.

A lovely peaceful site

This was our 3rd view visit to Brid. It was nice to see the new extension open & we chose to take a pitch on that part. It wasn't so populated over there so the facilities block was never busy. We also found it quieter over there as no road noise at all. Pitches lovely & usual club standard. The wardens were friendly & helpful but to be honest after our initial check in we never went to the reception again. I felt that a newspaper collection facility could be offered as there are no nearby shops. Also the provisions are minimal so also a few more groceries could be offered - we have stayed a several CAMC sites before that aren't near shops such as Ferry Meadows & Black Knowl & both offer newspapers & more available groceries in their small shops. We love to cycle from the site all along the promenade but the weather wasn't great so only did that twice. We also like the golf club over the road for a glass of wine sitting outside on a sunny day - no members welcome. Overall a typical neat & tidy club site.

Enjoyed our stay

Had an enjoyable 6 nights in the newly opened extension to the site. Staff pleasant and helpful......facilities first class. So much to see and do in the area. Worth a visit to the RSPB Bempton Cliffs Seabird Centre where we were lucky enough to spot a couple of puffins. Enjoyed a walk around Flamborough Head. Scarborough, Filey and Bridlington (the Old Town & Priory worth a visit) are within easy reach. Further afield we visited Hull and enjoyed the Old Town with its Streetlife museum. Hope to return to this lovely site as we like the area.

Great Stay

We arrived 16th April. First impressions was "Very new" and a large site with pleasant staff as usually were very friendly. The site is located at the north end of Bridlington with amazing walks not so far off from along the cliff edge towards the light house. I was aware some work was under way on the site, but seems to be in its final stages with no interruption what so ever/ Had a great stay and facilities were "Nipping Clean" . Keep up the great work . Ps thanks for sorting out my mix up on the leave date and arranging an extra night.

Easter 2018

Not a good visit over Easter with problems with new section of site. Definitely not teething problems. Mains for whole section kept failing, placing of water pressure in new toilet block, many of the new section pitches flooding. Yes rain was heavy but these new pitches quickly flooded. The land on which the new section has been built was often water logged and I was surprised that the site was extended on to this land. It felt that the new section had been rushed into service for Easter, without proper testing. I am an electrical engineer by profession.
