Not the wardens fault but........

Disgusted that other caravan club members would leave the men’s toilets in such a mess on New Year’s Eve, out of 5 cubicles only one was usable, one was locked, one was blocked, one was full of sick and the other had a broken toilet seat. My son and husband went to use the loo at 830pm to find it in such a mess, sick in the hand washing basins too! Disgusting behaviour, I would never have expected this from grown adults! It was like a town centre night club at 2am not a caravan club site! Very disappointed and annoyed!

First class site

A first class site. Rey well spaced pitches with great facilities. Divided into two sections, the older slightly more sheltered with more mature planting. Brilliant area for walking. Flambrough Head is magnificent. Easy reach of Scarborough and Filey. Superb wardens who obviously work very hard to maintain the site to this immaculate standard.

Lovely location but .....

Stayed here for the second time in two months. The first time was on the old part, lovely, the most recent stay on the new part. Went on this part of the site as we had our two grand-labradors with us for the first time in the van and we thought it would be quieter with less distractions for them. First of all this part of the site is soulless at the moment and I guess it will take a good couple of years to develop any character. Secondly it was very windy, the awning coped better than we did, sleepless nights all round. I expected it to be quiet but being as the wardens were mowing the grass for the whole three days we were there this didn’t materialise. It was lovely weather for sitting in the sunshine either in the awning or outside but it was so noisy it was impossible to do so. Why can’t they give it a rest now and again and give members a bit of peace and quiet. I couldn’t understand why there was a sign up outside reception saying all departures had to be by 12 noon when the site was less than half full. Not that we wanted to stay any longer, we were on our way home by 11 am for some of that elusive peace and quiet. The moral of the story is stay on the old part of the site and you will have a much nicer environment in which to spend your break

lovely stay

first time we have stayed here and we loved it. we had great weather, especially for October. we stayed on what we were told was the 'new bit' and were warned by the wardens that it could be windy as the newly planted trees hadn't grown yet. we were receiving the tail end of hurricane callum, but although winds were threatened it wasn't too bad, our awning stayed put!! the site is superbly sited for Bempton cliff and the RSPB reserve where we watched the Gannets. Bridlington is a very pretty town and we spent a couple of days walking the beaches with the dogs. we enjoyed it so much we have booked again for the Spring

Wonderful Wardens

Over 50 years of caravan users experience we have never enjoyed such a good service from the wardens who did everything they could to assist a blue badge holder including siting the van. As an extra the dog walk is exceptional with space to exercise your pet. Thank you we will definately visit again.

Brilliant Bridlington

We stayed at this site recently for 9 nights in early September. We had an excellent holiday. The site itself is superbly maintained by a great team of Wardens. They are all helpful, efficient, infromative and clearly dedicated to their jobs. The site and facilities are maintaind to an extremely high standard. The location of this site is perfectly positioned. An easy stroll into Bridlington, or a short bus ride from the bus stop right outside the site if preferred. Then there is also the Road Train as an option. There is plenty to do and great places to visit in the surrounding area. We had a very good meal in the Ship in Sewerby, washed down with some excellent real ale. It is caravan sites like this that make Club membership worth every penny.

What a great site

First time on this site stayed 9 nights over August Bank Holidays, site was busy but still very peaceful at least on the new side where we were. Site was very clean and grass was being mowed around our pitch when we arrived, and again 2 days before we left. Site is a credit to the wardens and they helpers who were all very friendly. Was told when we arrived about the speed limit not that it stopped some people, it is strange that some owner have no respect for their property cars slowed down to go over ramps then forget about caravan speed up and then wonder what the big bang as the caravan nearly starts to fly!! Big problem I found with this site was children on cycles, going the wrong way round at breakneck speeds, also cycling in the dark with no lights. I was walking to the toilet block one evening and a child went passed me going the wrong way I hadn't heard him coming and he was pretty close to me as he passed gave me a bit of a shock. Good job I didn't have a bad heart! Great site for touring area very close to all main route, keep up the great work.

Lovely New Site

We had a 5 night stay recently at this site, (September 2018). Wardens were very helpful and friendly. We stayed on the full service pitches on the new side of the site, these were very spacious. The Toilet block was very new, modern and exceptionally clean as you would expect. Good play area for children and a fenced off area for dog walking, where you can let them off the lead. There is an excellent pub a mile down the road which serves good priced meals and you are within easy driving distance of Bridlington, Scarborough and Whitby Having said this because the site is new, it lacked character, I think once it is established a little more, ie shrubs and trees grown a bit, it will look and feel much nicer. We found it too open and windy because of this. We also found it a bit pricey compared to other club sites

Great Site but Expensive

Had 4 nights at this site from August Bank Holiday Monday. 65 left that day so we had a good choice of pitch. Wardens very welcoming. Yes, we were informed how to pitch & the 5mph speed limit was reiterated twice but that was fine with us. Site of 2 halves but there are pros/cons to both sides. We pitched on the 'original' side but would not have objected to the 'new' side had there only been pitches there. Facilities great - wardens work tirelessly. Playground fab for our 8 year old. Walk about 1.5 miles to pick the land train up to get into Bridlington. Wardens can give you a simple map that shows you the way & the walk is mainly on pathways (albeit some slim!) & the odd bit you walk is on a wide grass verge. If you don't want to take the land train, you can walk along the beach or along the cliff top path - beautiful walk. We did both - our lad preferred the land train...We preferred the beach & cliff walk! Bridlington is typically 'seaside' - plenty for all ages but a couple of hours in the thick of it all is enough for us. Had a lovely meal at the Martonian Inn - within a mile of the site. Easily walkable. Great value for money & delicious food with a wide choice. Only gripe is the cost of this site - can only assume the premium price is because the site is 'new'? It does seem to be very pricey compared to some other CAMC sites. That said though, this is not enough to put us off & we would return to this site again.

pricey site

Recently stayed here for 4 nights. Positives are that with all club sites it's immaculate with plenty of space on the pitch and in between pitches with an excellent facility block. The staff on site were friendly and helpful with the questions we had about walking routes and the local bus service. We also found this to be one of the best sites for other members being friendly and chatty - we find that on some sites people aren't even prepared to say good morning! Bus stop is outside the club entrance, there's really good access to the coastal path walk both along the bus route and within walking distance of the site. The little village of Sewerby is also within walking distance with a couple of pubs who both serve food. My criticism would be that this site was expensive, I know it was bank holiday when we stayed but at over £30 a night it made for an expensive weekend for a site that it very much on a par with other sites that don't cost as much. As we both work full time we are sometimes limited to when we can go away. At the prices charged it really didn't feel there was much of a benefit to being a member.
