Only a short stay for our first visit to site. Good open areas , clean facilities and the on site shop has all you might need with reasonable pricing.
Wonderful area with great circular trips, especially as for us going far on foot is unfortunately, a thing of the past
Super Site!
A truly superb site - spacious pitches, immaculate toilet blocks and a well-stocked shop. The wardens were all very friendly, helpful and efficient.
On the northern edge of the Brecon Beacons, the site is well located for many local attractions, with plenty to d - even when it is raining!
There is a pub that serves excellent food within walking distance. As it was raining, we took our 6 metre motorhome and only just managed to park - best to walk if you can!
A highly recommended site!

Spotless Site
Stayed for 4 nights on a serviced pitch. Nice gravel pitch. The people who booked us in were such friendly people. I cannot fault this site. The shower blocks had individual cubicles for washing and ones for showering aswell, hairdryers and hand dryers, even played the radio into the block. So clean and spotless and modern. If you are an active person there is plenty to do around the areas, The brecon beacons national park, the 4 waterfalls which is hard going, lots of cycle trails, and walking trails. Nearby shops. The site had an onsite shop selling essentials and gas bottles. You get given a key card for entering the site. I would return to the site.
Brilliant Site
This site must be one of the best on the network in terms of facilities; large level pitches, two lovely shower blocks; good dog walk with dog wash (brilliant) and play areas for the children. It's such a shame that it is not open all year round!! If you like the outdoors then there is pretty much everything on the doorstep. Easy walk into Brecon along the canal for shopping (Aldi, Co-op and Morrison's) and day to day requirements. Plenty of walking from the site and a short drive gets you into the Beacons for low or high level walking and off road biking. The only down side of the site is its proximity to the main road junction (traffic noise) but if you choose your pitch carefully, then this can easily be addressed.
Very nice site
I spent 6 nights at the Brecon Beacons site in October and loved it! The site was immaculate, the pitches were spacious and the dog walking area accessible and perfect for my three Labradors. The wardens were friendly and helpful and happy to answer questions regarding places to go. There are walks to suit everyone. Steep slopes (try Pen y Fan), canal walks, the Wye valley to name but a few. I deliberately pitched away from the road which I imagine could be noisy, but I found the site very relaxing and will certainly be back.
Lovely site
We enjoyed our 3 night stay here, facilities clean, and only a short time closed for cleaning instead of 2 hours like some sites. Staff friendly & helpful, there was a shop which was closed due to be site closing for the winter, not sure why the site will be closed as its near main roads etc. Anyway will definitely stay again to meet up with our outlaws.
Really nice site, helpful and friendly wardens, lovely walks nearby
Nice, clean site with really friendly wardens. As other reviews suggest, there's some noise but not disruptive. Lovely walking on canel to Pencelli. Try the Four Falls Walk in the Brecon Beacons and get behind a waterfall - it's breath taking!
Just two nights there this time but we'd go there again happily. Could/should stay open over the winter.
A wonderful relaxing break.
After reading previous reviews I must admit I became slightly worried if we had made the right decision booking this site. I'm happy to say we had an amazing 5 nights. Staff friendly and helpful. Site and showers spotless. We didn't find the road too noisy. Some road noise could be heard but did not ruin the peace and quiet. Great situated site for day visits, walks and bike rides. We will be returning.

Lovely site
Not been here before, nor read any reviews as always like to make up our on minds. It was a convenient stop over from the Cotswolds to meet with family, we stayed 3 nights and were one of the last to leave as the site closed for the winter. Lovely site, friendly, helpful wardens, facilities clean. I don't understand why the site is closing over the winter as it is mostly hardstanding and very unlikely to flood, also near the main roads too. Anyway we had an enjoyable stay.
A little more care needed
Love the area and the site is in a beautiful setting.
We stayed for 5 nights and during that time noticed a few things that didn't make sense considering the large amount of money the club has invested in the site in recent years
The lower toilet block had a badly leaking cistern in one cubicle. About 50 litres an hour I guess was being discharged into the toilet basin. Eight wardens on site and noting was done about it.
On day three of our stay a frustrated member turned the stop valve off in the cistern and put a notice on cubicle wall to say that the ball valve needed to be replaced. All that happened was that the cubicle was closed, no repair carried out by the end of my stay!
The guttering in this new block leaked badly at one point and had been doing do for some time considering the stains on the relatively newly painted external walls. Still leaking when we left
The car park which had 11 visitor spaces, including 2 for disabled, has been reduced to 5 ( including the 2 disabled. The other 5 spaces have been cordoned off as used as a staff car park, despite the fact that there are plenty of other places for staff to park as well as the wardens compounds
There is a ramp with wooden handrail to access the information hut. The handrail has fungus growing on it and the wood is rotting. Maybe an accident waiting to happen
Why are the club letting things like this happen on such a beautiful site when all that's needed is a bit of care and attention
