Great site, please open all year

Spent one night here so that we could visit Brecon Food Festival. Fantastic facilities, best shower I have had for a long time. Would be great if all the club sites matched this one for quality of facilities. Easy to walk into Brecon, will bring bikes next time so that we can cycle along canal to Abergavenny. Would really like to visit all year round, as it was nearly full in October I wonder if there is any chance of it opening all year.

Nice Site

We had a pleasant stay for a few days. The toilet blocks are very clean and showers plentiful. The radio is constantly on, which didn’t bother us, but never come across it before. The worst thing is the noise from the road when sitting outside the van. The general traffic noise is tolerable, but found the motor bikes very annoying! However, as we were off site most of the day, it didn’t spoil the holiday too much. A good site for access to Brecon Beacons National Park, and we enjoyed walking to the top of Pen y Fan, and also the four waterfall walk at Ystradfellte. Had an excellent meal at the Three Horseshoes nearby.

A change of wardens dampened our enthusiasm for this site +

We have stayed at Brecon a few times over recent years and although we find the road noise intrusive, we enjoy staying in such a beautiful area. However this visit was spoilt by one of the wardens and sadly set the tone for our visit. What happened to the lovely smile and welcome we usually receive from you hard working wardens? Sadly we were met by an older lady who lacked customer service skills in every way. The site remains good for its excellent facilities. I overheard other similar comments about this lady - what a shame.

One Of The Best!

We have just returned from 3 nights at this fabulous site! The moment we arrived it just looked and felt right. It has an excellent layout with different areas so you can choose what's best for you. There are beautiful trees, plants and hedgerows all over the site and then the fields and mountains in the distance. The two toilet blocks are large and top class and as always extremely clean with plenty of showers. There is an on site shop selling most things you would need for a few days away including fresh bread and pastries each morning. Plenty of newspapers and magazines and the people running it were extremely helpful and cheerful. There is a good dog walk around the back of the site and you can even walk in 15 minutes to the pub in the local village through the paths and lane with no traffic! The play area is big and flat for the children. We walked to Brecon along the canal path which was a lovely walk and the town has plenty to offer. There are many places to visit in the surrounding area and some of the views are just breathtaking. So all in all we had a great time. We have visited many sites and this one is definitely up there with the best. We will definitely be back, probably many times in the future.

Full marks

If points out of 10 were awarded for sites, this one would get top marks. The open location combined with medium matures trees dotted throughout make the whole site very open with a spacious feeling - and the view over to the mountains is superb. It's close proximity to the town of Brecon is a big plus. The toilet blocks interiors and other facilities are obviously fairly new but the best I have seen in CMH sites, the club shop is a first for me and it was well stocked, run by excellent staff and a great idea. This site is definitely the best I have stayed at!! The levels of road noise is well documented but it would be churlish to mark it down on this - it is what it is.

Perfect

Open aspect of this site and its location make this a perfect place to stay and explore the wonderful Breacon area. Site has 2 sections to it & we stayed on the more open side close to the dog walk & shower block which made life easy & convenient. Staff very friendly & helpful, shop well stocked and facilities well maintained. We enjoyed being able to walk safely and easily to local village and pub with great food. Cycling along canal to Breacon also easy & good fun. Breacon folk club on Wed evenings really friendly too. Highly recommend this site for ease of access, great facilities & location.

The muisic in the toilets drove us mad

Really enjoyed the site and the area is fantastic. We go there because my wife is an artist and loves the scenery and I like the walking. The view from Pen y Fan is fantastic. The site is as you would expect from a club site. However we won't be going back because the constant radio in the toilets and washing up area drove us to distraction and made using them a poor experience..

Our favorite.. we love it

Yet again this site is just perfect.. nothing is a bother to the wardens, turned up 15 mins early and no questions asked, the day after some1 actually came in at 1030 and they let them in... we was there when the farmers market was in the fields, we didn't go, as we enjoyed the sunshine by the caravan.. we are back again in Oct.. and can't wait.. we love the walk down the canal which was quite over grown tbh but still a fab walk.. see you soon

Very rural and within a very pretty region.

We really enjoyed our short stay at Brecon. An impressive site, clean, tidy and very manicured. It looks like about half the pitches are serviced which may be important to you. Two shower blocks, drive over motor home facilities and a commercial shop on site all add to the quality of the site. There are lots of really good walking routes straight off the site. We walked along the tow path into Brecon, about a mile. We took the bikes in the opposite direction which is easily 40 miles and goes beyond Abergaveny if you are feeling energetic. All flat and quite well surfaced and lots of waterside pubs and cafes along its length. You should make a day of it. The area is very quiet and rural but very pretty. With good weather you will have a great holiday.
