Campervan Stay

I have just joined the Caravan and Motorhome Club and this was my first visit to a site. All the staff and other visitors were very nice and helpful. It was just me and my dog and the facilities were perfect for the both of us with the added benefit of local dog walks. Definately reccomend the blackhorse pub as their food is lovely! Will definately stay at this site again in the future.

Black Horse - Excellent Site

Lovely peaceful site. Next to a busy road but layout means road noise is not an issue. Black Horse pub barely a 5 min walk and has good drinks options and does great meals. Great for Canterbury and must visit the B of B Monument at Capel-Le-Ferne. Also not too far for a visit to Leeds Castle. A great day out, although admission fee is a little expensive. Worth following the coastal route sign posted from Folkestone to Ramsgate. Include a detour to St Margarit's Bay. Absolutely beautiful place away from the hustle and bustle of other locations in Kent.

Mayday bank holiday break

My wife and I stayed on this site for a short break over the Mayday bank holiday. The site exceeded our expectations. We booked this site because of lack of availability on other sites , but when we arrived we found that the photos and description of the site did not do it justice. It is a very pleasant site, the staff are excellent and very helpful, The site and facilities are well maintained and very clean. Access to the site was easy and check-in very fast and efficient.

Fantastic Site

We stayed here for two nights after only having used our new MH once back in October. We were so impressed with every element of Black Horse Farm. Firstly, and most importantly; the wardens were wonderful! Due to being very rusty, we had a couple of technical hitches when setting up the van. The wardens were so helpful and came down to our pitch to help us get everything sorted. The Covid protocol was super efficient and easy to follow; we felt very safe. The site itself is lovely, very well maintained with a good dog walk. The toilet block was immaculately clean and again, Covid secure. The site is located so that local attractions are in easy reach. We walked to the village pub on Friday and had dinner; basic pub grub but tasty and hit the spot. On Saturday, we drove the van to Folkestone and parked easily down at the harbour. A thoroughly enjoyable weekend after a year of being stuck at home! Highly recommend.

Great short stay

We had a lovely stay. Good for amateur cyclists around the local woods and country side. Stumbled in Historic battle of Britain plane museum. At booking reception staff very helpful and accommodating to newbies.. ( Only one person in reception that was a little grumpy ! Will definitely go again ...

Bank holiday weekend

We stayed here for the May bank holiday weekend. It's our second visit to the site and there will be many more. The site is easily accessible and the pitches are a good size. It's very quiet and well kept. There is a little park for children and a lovely enclosed dog walk which my puppy loved. We took a walk along the cliffs to the Battle of Britain Memorial which is a lovely walk. If your children are into geocaching then there are a few nice circular trails nearby to do. Overall a very enjoyable weekend and it was great to be out caravanning again!

A Dog’s Perspective

Just returned home from a week stay which was thoroughly enjoyed. The easy access a short distance from the M20/A20 meant that I wasn’t cooped up in the car for too long. Inevitably the good road links caused some road noise but this soon faded into the distance particularly in the lower part of the site which had the rural feel my springer spaniel nose enjoys best. It even had plenty of rabbits to entertain me as I walked past to and from the dog run. Great dog run by the way, plenty of room for me to stretch my legs off lead and I even managed to chase a ball quite regularly down the line of trees as there were very few canine competitors around. No dog wash for my muddy paws (ha like I care!) but I heard the owners mention how clean and well-maintained their washing facilities were with good showers for them to enjoy - each to their own. Found a few footpaths to enjoy from the site and I particularly enjoyed running freely in Reinden Woods in Densole which we walked too as well. In fact it was a good holiday for walks with easy access to the North Downs, the Wye walk being a particular favourite, as well as a breezy walk on the cliffs above Dover but who doesn’t mind their ears flapping when there is a good view. Shame the owners didn’t let me off lead here - for some reason they thought that just because I’m obsessed with jumping in water, I might have gone over the white cliffs even with the fencing. As if us springers are that daft..........?!

Nice site

1st time here very pleased with the site will visit again as its close to lots of places and obviously good for travelling to France. Only downside is pitches near the road will get some traffic noise but these pitches are reserved for ferry crossing. Only problem I found was that on the serviced pitches if you are parked to the left of the mains water connection a standard length hose will not reach even running diagonally under the van. I had to go and purchase some hose and fittings to make it longer by some 6 to 7 meters. But I still would recommend this site.
