I chose this site as I was towing myself with my girls for a days during the Easter break. The staff were helpful and helped me site my van (as no motor mover). The site was very clean and the toilet/shower block were warm and clean, the showers were brilliant. They have a small playground and a dog walking area. It is a really lovely site!
Great site
Stayed here for one night en route to Dover to catch a ferry. The site was perfect and clean. The pub opposite, the black horse does excellent food and well priced. They even do specific dog dinners. A first that I've seen.
Will be returning next year when we travel abroad again.
Great Supporting Staff
We travelled down to Dover from Edinburgh during the first phase of the Dover Calais dispute, and on arrival the staff gave us all the advice needed to make sure we got to the port on time.
We came back from France early due to illness and although we had no booking for the site, one of the staff we called while heading north in France gave us the current situation on the ferries and arranged a site pitch for us, at short notice.
Perhaps the next time we are heading south, we may spend some more time and stay longer at the site.
Thanks again to the staff the site

Black Horse Farm
We have recently stayed at the site for 2 weeks and agree exactly with stevecardiff s review ( dated 26.7.15) especially with regard to the comings and goings at all hours.Time and again we were awoken with neighbours packing up to leave with no thought of the fact that sound carries so much at night. Surely it could be just a simple matter of asking each arrival what time they were anticipating leaving, and, if in the early hours, placing them on what are known as the ferry pitches leaving the main part of the site free to people wishing to use it for longer stays. It is quite puzzling as a lot of the time these ferry pitches are empty and yet early leavers are parking next to others on the main site.
Otherwise a really lovely centrally located position and beautifully well kept site.

IDEAL FOR SHORT AND LONG STAYS
Myself and my wife have just spent seven nights at this sight. As you would expect the facilities are excellent and cannot be faulted, very friendly and helpful wardens to compliment the site.
This site is perfectly located for touring Kent and stop-overs both to and from the cross channel ports which bring me to the only downside - nothing to do with the staff or site, but there were people leaving at all hours so at time it was like being on the hard shoulder of a main road as some very inconsiderate travelers had obviously made little or no attempt to get ready to leave before departing in the early hours!! very frustrating (hence the low score for peace and quiet).
Very handy shop directly opposite the site entrance and the local pub is approx 100yds away serving good value home cooked food, we had two very nice meals but a very disappointing Sunday carvery.
All considered a great site with only a few inconsiderate travelers to cope with.
Perfect!
This was our first time here and it won't be our last!
We booked a ferry pitch for our journey out, and for when we returned.......staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful.
Very comforting after a long drive to know we would arrive somewhere as good as this.

Nice site
First time at this site,we stayed 4 nights and loved it plenty to see and do down this end of the country,we went to Dover castle that was great. The site was nice the showers were the best. The staff were great.
excellent
great wardens (one fetched two cones for a young boy to play football) nothing too much trouble, facilities impeccable,
Only little gripe is arrivals were allowed to come on site 3/4 hr early and started to badger us to rush off, cheeky devils asked if we'd payed to stay later, it wasn't even time, didn't answer when asked ''have you payed extra to come early''

Good overnight stop for Dover ferry
This was an excellent choice for us, we travelled from Cheshire the day before our early ferry from Dover. The Ferry pitches are a great idea as you don't disturb others. We received a friendly welcome when we arrived after our long journey. We were travelling to Spain and forgot our extension lead, luckily there was a B&Q in the area! We would definitely use this site again.
Ferry Stop Over
Used the site for ferry crossing at Dover. Special area allocated. Plenty of room provided to pull out of the pitch without making too much noise especially if leaving early. Traditional pitch parking with not room to keep the car hitched however as we have mover it was easier to hitch on this way.
As we were delayed on way back from France did consider calling to see if we could book in however it was 11pm before we landed so we decided against it.
