Have stayed at this site for a stopover en route to and from the channel tunnel. Staff really helpful and efficient with a quick check in.
Ferry pitches same standard as other pitches but those planning an early departure seem to be kept at the front of the site so as not to disturb others too much.
One of the best dog walks have seen on club sites. Lots of rabbits on site, lovely to see but drive the dogs mad!
Will definitely be back.
Enjoyable stay
A nice site with bus stop outside so easy to get to Folkestone and Canterbury. Most people were there for a stopover. We had five nights and there is plenty to see in the area. Paid for wifi but it never really worked so that was a minus. Overall it is a good site and we enjoyed our stay.

Great stop for cross channel travellers
I have stayed at Blackhorse site on a number of occasions. The ferry pitches are great for anyone needing an overnight stay either before or after crossing the channel.
The facilities for the 'ferry pitches' are of the same high standard as other caravan club sites.
I found the staff to be particularly pleasant, friendly and helpful.
First time visitors
As it was our first visit to the Black horse site we didn't really know what to expect, and unlike most of the visitors we stayed for the week, there is a lot of short term stop overs which is understandable if you are going to the continent as its so close to Dover and the Tunnel.
The staff are friendly and approachable and do their best to help with all enquiries.
The site itself is well laid out with plenty of room for all types of outfit, the facilities are well maintained but standards drop a bit during peak times especially in the male block.
The only thing I really do have a problem with is that some of the visitors found the 5mph speed limit far to slow for them and they tried to achieve the national speed limit, very concerning with small children running around.
Overall we enjoyed our stay and the sights in and around the local area
Same old, same old.
As usual, the site was busy with a large turnover of my/caravans heading or arriving from France. Site very clean, staff up to their usual high standard. Well done, and thank you.

Happy Motorhoming
A good well looked after site. Good faciilities, everything you need for caravan and camping holiday. Close to Folkestone and Dover. Local pubs serving meals, shop and post office across road from site. Supermarkets close by. We will definitely stay on this site again.
First trip on my own with my girls!
I chose this site as I was towing myself with my girls for a days during the Easter break. The staff were helpful and helped me site my van (as no motor mover). The site was very clean and the toilet/shower block were warm and clean, the showers were brilliant. They have a small playground and a dog walking area. It is a really lovely site!
Great site
Stayed here for one night en route to Dover to catch a ferry. The site was perfect and clean. The pub opposite, the black horse does excellent food and well priced. They even do specific dog dinners. A first that I've seen.
Will be returning next year when we travel abroad again.
Great Supporting Staff
We travelled down to Dover from Edinburgh during the first phase of the Dover Calais dispute, and on arrival the staff gave us all the advice needed to make sure we got to the port on time.
We came back from France early due to illness and although we had no booking for the site, one of the staff we called while heading north in France gave us the current situation on the ferries and arranged a site pitch for us, at short notice.
Perhaps the next time we are heading south, we may spend some more time and stay longer at the site.
Thanks again to the staff the site

Black Horse Farm
We have recently stayed at the site for 2 weeks and agree exactly with stevecardiff s review ( dated 26.7.15) especially with regard to the comings and goings at all hours.Time and again we were awoken with neighbours packing up to leave with no thought of the fact that sound carries so much at night. Surely it could be just a simple matter of asking each arrival what time they were anticipating leaving, and, if in the early hours, placing them on what are known as the ferry pitches leaving the main part of the site free to people wishing to use it for longer stays. It is quite puzzling as a lot of the time these ferry pitches are empty and yet early leavers are parking next to others on the main site.
Otherwise a really lovely centrally located position and beautifully well kept site.
