Lovely site

As a solo caravanner I sometimes need help manoeuvring my caravan and I can't praise the wardens and other club members for the help and assistance I am offered. This site was no exception and it's views are fantastic. Visited in August when it was rather windy but this didn't mar a great holiday. Loads to do in the area especially for walkers.

Homeward Bound Stop Over

This is a fantastic site when the weather is good, the town centre is only a short 20mins walk with a lot of interest for shoppers and plenty of eating places. We visited on the bank holiday weekend and booked a meal at Foxtons in town which was excellent. On the walk into town is a top class seafood supplier with a retail shop offering all sorts of goodies for the BBQ. Out and about there is lots to do on both sides of the border, ie Jim Clark Room in Duns, Paxton Hall, Lindisfarne, Bamborough Castle, too many to mention. Also a great stop over for Scottish members heading south for the Hull Ferry a very good alternate to the Melrose site. We were pitched up close to the railway line but due to the design of the embankment there was very little noise from the passing trains, being near to the station they are not running at full speed. Will definitely be back.

Great Site - Perfectly Placed

The site is perfectly placed within Northumberland for visits to Lindisfarne, Alnwick and Edinburgh as well as several other bays and villages. Thoroughly enjoyed our two week stay, facilities spotless and wardens very friendly. The views are stunning looking over the sea. There is some noise from the mainline trains but you do get used to it and soon forget they are there. Berwick is a pretty town and fabulous walk along the walls especially over looking the sea.

Great Site - fantastic views

This was our first visit to the site. it is situated on a hillside overlooking the River Tweed estuary across the river from Berwick. This gives absolutely fantastic views. Despite its proximity to the East Coast Mainline it is a quiet site. Facilities were excellent and a 20-25 minute walk gets you into the centre of Berwick. There is an Asda close by to get fuel from and it is easy to access the A1 and the road to the Nortumberland coast. I look forward to returning to this site.

Great little site

Set in the hillside this site has fantastic views of the coast and within walking distance to a lovely flat and sandy beach and a couple of pubs.Berwick is a short drive or bus ride away with a bus stop right outside the entrance. Asda very near too, everything you need only minutes away. Will definitely be back! Not really suitable for young children as no play area but if it's hot you've got the beach and free parking. The trains go past frequently but to be honest you get used to them and they stop at night, didn't bother us!

Fantastic views over the Tweed

We stayed on this site during peak season in July and August. The site was always fully booked but as usual, the facilities and site were spotless. The wardens were very friendly, helpful and efficient. When you first arrive you may wonder what you've come to, as the site is basically in a housing estate but stick with it! Once on the site, most pitches have a tremendous view of the Tweed estuary and the lovely beach. The site doesn't have a dog walk but the dog friendly beach is only a 5 minute walk. Again, don't be put off by the local area. Scratch below the surface and Berwick is fascinating. A walk around the walls is a must! The site is ideally placed to explore the beautiful Northumberland coast, the Borders and it's only an hours drive from Edinburgh. (Or take the train). There is no play park so you may want to consider this if you have younger children.

A little disappointed

We stayed here for one night in August. The staff were very pleasant and helpful and they had lovely fresh bread rolls for sale every day. The facilities were good and clean. We discovered that not everyone gets a sea view. There was a row of caravans in front of us and we could only glimpse the sea between them. Get here early if you want to see the sea! Also the East Coast Mainline runs next to one end of the site, which the staff don't warn you about. If you're next to it, you have noisy trains hurtling past you late in the evening and early in the morning.
