Excellent Winter visit to historical town

This is an excellent site close to a truly historical town. The site views are stunning and you can walk into town in 20 minutes along the river paved path. The town has plenty to see with a vivid history. We walked along the town walls which had wonderful views out to sea and into the town overlooking the church and garrison. An easy walk then into town for coffee. The town has a number of restaurants and pubs to choose from and a taxi back was £5 nice if its cold!  The site is well gritted if required and the facilities are excellent and warm. The plots are large and the train noise is actually minimal. You can choose a plot away form the noise but watch then your wifi reception. We heard no trains after 10 30 am and before 630am and were at the back of the site closer to the line.  There is a walk along the seafront in Spittal which is really lovely and close to the site and some pubs nearer the site down the hill. The wardens were very helpful and we will be back again but we were told by locals it's very busy in summer as you might expect however out of season it's and excellent visit.

excellant club site

we are just back from a weekend stay at berwick seaview. only problem is a weekend is not long enough.the wardens are very pleasant and most helpfull. a nice walk into town but bus stop is at site entrance.also shops near at hand.the only downside would be the train lines at back of campsite but you soon get used to that noise. will definately be back

Good site with narrow access.

Stayed for six nights only problem i had was roads thoughout the site where narrow and having 8m van found it tight to manovering on site.Otherwise well positioned  site, good local shop round corner on way to beach selling pies and bread.easy access to Edingbrugh on train and Bambrugh Castle well worth a visit.Peaple mentioned train noise,ok trains went passed but after a day did not take any notice.

Only negative is the railway

We had a lovely relaxing stay the only problem was the railway.  Being woken in between 5.45 and 6.00 by the trains was not enjoyable.  The site is lovely the wardens are professional, helpful and very pleasant couldn't have been nicer unless the trains disappeared.

Pleasant stay as always

Been to this site many times and have never been dissapointed. Friendly helpful wardens, facilities good and clean as you would expect on a CC site. There is plenty of things to do from the site, we like to walk/cycle down to the Spittal or across to the breakwater and lighthouse. Lindisfarne is always a must visit even when its cold. Seahouses is another pleasant drive out, good fish and chips there too. The site is in need of some of the bushes and trees getting a trim, some of the pitches now no longer have a view of the bay, one of the main reasons why we like this site even in bad weather we can sit and watch the sea. So please CC lets have the site tidied up so it looks like the photos further up this page.

Good Location but needs some super pitches

Well run site, friendly wardens , everything nice and clean but feel the Caravan Club would benefit from more super pitches. We like the easier life of not having to continually fetch water and dispose of waste water. We are happier to pay extra to get these facilities and rarely find them available from the Caravan Club - even where they have them they are generally few in number and usually fully booked.

Aye it's braw

Unbeatable views over Berwick and the north sea easy walking distance to the beach and only 20 minutes walk into Berwick (was almost as quick as the bus) wardens were very helpful and all facilities were clean and well looked after (some people said the train noise annoyed them but we were at the front of the site and didn't really notice PS get there early to get the best pitches and views
