Good Location but needs some super pitches

Well run site, friendly wardens , everything nice and clean but feel the Caravan Club would benefit from more super pitches. We like the easier life of not having to continually fetch water and dispose of waste water. We are happier to pay extra to get these facilities and rarely find them available from the Caravan Club - even where they have them they are generally few in number and usually fully booked.

Aye it's braw

Unbeatable views over Berwick and the north sea easy walking distance to the beach and only 20 minutes walk into Berwick (was almost as quick as the bus) wardens were very helpful and all facilities were clean and well looked after (some people said the train noise annoyed them but we were at the front of the site and didn't really notice PS get there early to get the best pitches and views

Another good weekend

Love this site.Staff always welcoming and helpful. Location is great a short walk to the beach. Also a  good taxi service into Berwick  town which worked out cheaper and faster than the bus for 4 adults. We have used this site several and always enjoy ourselves what ever the weather.

Berwick visit

An easily accessible site overlooking the bay and within easy reach of the beach at Spittal and Berwick town. Although we had exceptionally good weather for mid October I can imagine it being bleak when it turns nasty however we cannot do anything about that, can we? Nor can we do anything about the trains running on the east coast line which really wasn't that noticeable yet there were a few fellow visitors who passed adverse comments. On arrival navigating around the site can be a bit tricky as there is little room for manoeuvre and I found it quite restricted, thankfully we have a motor mover whilst one or two other arrivals who relied on reversing etc found it difficult to pitch. Not a friendly site for children who had to play on the road and did not have a dedicated play area or park to keep them entertained. The site itself is tidy and the facilities immaculate but I felt it just lacked that little something extra. OK for a few fays or an overnight stop but I could not envisage anything longer.

Berwick Oct

Bit noisy if sensitive to railway noise but otherwise very well located for historic Northumberland. Would revisit in a moment.

Good weekend!

We enjoyed a weekend at this site.....easy walk into Berwick and spent time watching teams and individuals preparing for a canoe race.Walked around the town walls and visited the Barracks Museum. Facilities were excellent on the site and we were very lazy about cooking and used the local fish shop delivery service.....fish was beautiful !!!!

Berwick Views

We enjoyed our few days at Berwick, the site overlooks Berwick on Tweed and nearby Spittal and some of the pitches have wonderful views. It's just a short walk down to Spittal sea front where there is a big sandy and dog friendly beach with distant views of Lindisfarne. There is a cafe and playpark at Spittal and a nice promenade. To walk to Berwick (bus also available just outside the site) cross the road outside the site, turn left and walk towards a small gateway at the end of the houses. Walk down the footpath and this takes you left along the Tweed estuary. It passes the lifeboat station, the Tower pottery, a good Spar shop and nice cafe. You'll find the lovely old Tweed bridge at the end, about fifteen minutes walk from the start. The bridge takes you straight into Berwick itself and also onto the town walls for some more interesting walks and viewpoints. Look out for the L.S. Lowry display boards for his painterly views of the area.
