First time at Berwick Seaview

We arrived on a busy weekend mid afternoon and there was only 5-6 spaces available, we had pre-booked. The facilities block was spotless and a pleasure to use the showers. There is no playground for children unfortunately so little to keep children amused onsite. We parked at the higher level at the back of the site near where they put their grass cuttings. If we go to Seaview again we would avoid this area due to the strong stench of rotting grass near the pitch we choose. Although this is a gold site internet is very poor and we tried to connect out with peak use times, i.e. early morning and could only manage to stay connected for a couple of minutes before losing connection constantly. Personally I am going to stop purchasing wifi as it's not worth the effort. There is a wifi support number that you can call but funnily enough it's the most difficult number to read due to text colour and background colour being similar.

Great Days at Spittal

WE had a great few days at the site from the 8th April - Berwick is no more than 20 mins walk for us from the site . THe views more than make up for the railway behind the site - although we were one row in from the top in the middle of the site the railway did not cause us any issues. We caught the bus to Alnwick - you get a discount if you travel by bus on the gate , and we took the bus upto Eyemouth and walked along the coast path to St Abbs - it was stunning . We also cycled from the site - NB Road bikes will struggle on the NC1 to Holy Island - we wrer on a tandem but fortunatley it has been dry for a while - and had spoken to the chaps at the bike shop and they advised biking up to pot a doodle and then joining the coast track - this avoided 2 miles of cow fields . We loved our 5 days and the site team were very helpful with advice or pointing us in the right direction. The site was really well maintaned. The beach is just a 5 min stroll away what more can we say other than we will come back .

First time visit

Had a great week at Berwick. Great site, immaculately kept by unobtrusive wardens. First class facilities,  including  guaranteed sea view. Great for touring from, north and south. The train noise was minimal and did not bother us at all, pitched as we were at the top of the site backing onto the track. Easy to get to and from. Follow the instructions in the site description. Pitches are a good size but some a bit tight for manoeuvring ......take your time. We will be back.

Will defiantly read the reviews and small print before booking future sites

The views from the site are great as everyone states, nd th site is well ru and very clean. The very very close location of the east coast main line means we will never use this site again. The train line fence is within meters of the back pitches and fast trains pass upto midnight and start at 5:00am. As a light sleeper it was horrific for me. The view of the sea can't make up for the train line. The site pictures are very cleverly taken to avoid any sign of what awaits you, and I believe pain a false picture which I have not experiancd with any other club site.

Good week in Berwick

The site is well maintained and very quiet except for the occasional train but this is not a bother as they finish about 10 pm and you do get used to it.The site location is very good as its a ten minute walk to the footbridge over to Berwick town and there is ample walks round the area plus its central to some tourist places i.e Alnwick, Holy island, Bamburg castle and if you want its only an hour drive to Edinburgh, loved it.

A well managed site

First visit to Berwick. Eventually found it after the sat nav took us into a housing estate. May be worth putting a heads on the web page! I mentioned it to the warden on arrival and she could not have been less interested. Shame really as they manage the site extremely well. Facilities immaculately maintained. The railway was a real turn off. We stay on a site in Cheshire that has a line running next to it but it's no where near as intrusive as this. I'm on first name terms with most of the Virgin train drivers now. I don't think that we will be returning. Shame, we had high hopes for this one.

It was great to be back

This was my second visit. Had a lovely pitch with a great sea view. Facilities lovely and clean. Only 5 minutes walk down to the beach with my little dog, and an easy walk into Berwick itself. The Tourist Information has a list of dog-friendly places to eat! Yes the railway is near - but just bring ear plugs.

Fantastic Site

this is our 2nd time to visit Berwick Seaview Caravan Club Site, and again we were not disappointed. The whole site was kept very clean and tidy to a very high standard. The wardens could not have been more helpful and nothing too much trouble. I know that the trains go by but because of the high stone wall, the noise is kept to a minimum and did not cause any problems at all. Lovely views over the estuary, good walks down on Spittal beach. Lots of very friendly local dog walkers too. Regular buses into Berwick from the gate, or if you are a little more energetic then its about a 20 minute walk. Excellent visit and will definitely go again.

Our 1st time out in motorhome Bertie

Had the most wonderful time with amazing views looking over the sea. If you get up early enough you see a beautiful sunrise. The toilets and shower blocks were very clean and were kept clean at all times. a very enjoyable time we had with our 2 Labs and very close to the beach

Fantastic site - if you ignore the trains.

This is a well named site with views over the Tweed estuary. It's layout is slightly unusual with pitches on terraces at several levels. As with all club sites, the facilities are first class and the staff friendly and helpful. The walk into Berwick takes about 20 minutes across one of the town's bridges. From it we were delighted to see otters swimming and diving in river. The town has a good selection of shops, pubs and restaurants. There are also a number of supermarkets, so food shopping is no problem. Just over the bridge, we found a pub called 'Barrels' where we enjoyed a few pints of local real ale. There were only a couple of minus points. Firstly, the railway runs adjacent to the site, so there is some noise, especially on the upper level. The other point is the longish walk into town and back if you want to eat out and enjoy a drink. Overall, a great site to stay for a few days.
