Multi re-visit

This is our umpteenth visit and as always the site facilities are top notch. We find that the reported noise is back-ground noise and not an intrusion when the caravan door is closed. We often note the passing Eurostar trains in the distant. The main purpose for our many returns is that one of our sons lives in Maidstone but use the this site if visiting Kent for holidays etc. This time a nice touch when booking in, the site staff (are they still called Wardens) introduced themselves. I alway like to known to whom I’m talking to!

Great Site and Great Wardens

This site is fairly compact which means every pitch is close to a service point and not too far from the shower block. The loos and showers were always clean whatever the time of day. The Wardens were great, friendly and so helpful with regard to telling me about places worth visiting and any discounts that could be applied for, such as Leeds Castle. The position is good, next to the motorway means that many places are within easy reach, while there I visited Dover Castle to the East, Charles Darwins House to the West and Battle to the South.

Great site.

This site is up to the usual standard expected of a Caravan Club site... Well maintained and very clean and the wardens were friendly and helpful. Well placed for visiting just about everywhere in Kent.. we went to Dover Castle, Margate, Battle and Chatham to name but a few. It can be quite noisy at night due to traffic, but then it is very close to the M20 and we did get used to it. We would definitely use this site again if we ever visit Kent again.

Bearsted Transient Site

Stayed at this site on the way "up North" from the Eurotunnel Crossing, the site is fairly small and facilities wise its up to the typically excellent club standards, we had booked online a site suitable for our outfit a 7.5 m long motorhome without awning for one night, we were told which site and how to park on the pitch. Found the site pretty transient and soul less but it did serve its purpose. Half the dog walk was out of action due to recent inclement weather but the half that was functional was pretty poor and dirty, dog owners need to be more responsible and possibly site management need to do more in enforcing and if necessary unfortunately cleaning up.

Site on a flight path along side busy main A road

Usual lines of vans . Open site no shade. But the noise was shocking. Under a flight path with planes coming and going all day and late into the night. Along side busy main road into maidstuso traffic noise 24/7. Horrible bland site . All about what caravaning shouldn’t be like . No privacy what so ever. People walking back and forth looking in your Windiws. Very very exsoensive considering the noise we’ve had to endure .

Needs additional grey water

Site itself is fine with ample fresh water points, however only 1 grey water point which was miles away from us. My back not great tonight having lugged a wastemaster 3/4 of the way around site to only waste point. Won’t book again unless service pitch available or this is improved.

Weekend Getaway

This was our first visit we had pitch No 32 it was very big, infact all the pitches are big I was very surprised, we wanted to find a local site that we can just get away for the weekend and this is just perfect for us, Leeds Castle is the main reason that I wanted to visit as you get 25% off your tickets and they last all year, so I have booked in again for the xmas markets, there is so much to do at Leeds Castle you can never get fed up. The showers were so clean and the water lovely and hot, can't wait to come back in December now, and all the staff were so friendly. From our pitch we watched the fireworks at Leeds Castle so that was even better.

Hard To Fault

As the title says, it is very hard to fault this site except the dog walk which is poor and very sharp stones on the path which our dog didn't like and even with good shoes on I could feel them!

Lovely site

This is our first stay at Bearsted. We stayed one night. The site is clean, tidy and well maintained. The staff are helpful and friendly. It is in a perfect position for visiting Leeds Castle which is about ten minutes drive. Walking to Leeds Castle is possible but it would not be a nice walk as the roads are busy and there are no continuous foot paths. We would use this site again. Thank you.

Not as good as last year

On arrival, we were informed that they no longer allow pitch selection, as we had stayed here last year I was quite supprised but assumed the change of Warden was the cause. We settled in and pitched our Awning awaiting the other members of our Family however when they arrived they were put on Grass standings even though they ordered Hard standing and the ground being very wet with more rain expected. Having helped them on site, we managed to scrape the mud off and sit down to a meal, not sure if we could get them off site again. Cannot believe the change in one year! But that said still a good site
