Once found (could do with better road signage)we entered the tranquil and peaceful setting 'Battle Normanhurst' CC site provides. The wardens were friendly and helpful in advising you of the various vacant sites, however be aware the site is quite hilly and you need to walk to check out the site as there are no circular routes to take the caravan with you. If like me you have disabilities or difficulty in walking you may find this a bit of a task. Having settled on your location you need to be aware that reversing in etc. is difficult in some areas due to space restrictions, so if you have a larger twin axle caravan like us you most certainly need a 'motor mover' fitted. The site is so relaxing due to it being in the beautiful grounds of a large house (now demolished) and sitting out eating and relaxing in the sun was a delight. The only issue with this being a garden site is that if you wish to watch TV you will have difficulty getting a signal on either satellite or antenna, as the large trees spread all over the site tend to block the signal. I believe it would be in the interest of the CC and its members if a wired aerial system was installed on the site.
Wonderful place
Our first caravan trip with our first caravan. Was beautiful. Peaceful friendly. Helpful. Clean. Dog friendly Was there with grandparents when I was 10 and still 16 years later still as lovely. Defo recommend it. And will defo go back. 5 out of 5 for us.
Perfect spot
Had a great three days at this site, the grounds are beautiful and landscaped with lots of splendid trees and shrubs. The facilities are spotless and were never overly busy despite the site being pretty full. It was quiet and peaceful in the evenings around our pitch which was lovely and relaxing. Can't wait to return!
A lovely site in Sussex
A beautiful site which enabled us to have a good break. However, it was disappointing that at least 3 grass pitches were taken up by units which were obviously unoccupied. At the height of the season, could these have been stored elsewhere, especially as the site was fully booked.

A lovely site
Battle Normanhurst is our favorite site. it is beautifully laid out with trees and shrubs with plenty of space on the pitches. Although it caters for families it is a very quiet site; it has a good play activity area for the younger children, although not much for the older teenagers, but in fairness none of the sites we have visited do have.
Tranquility In East Sussex
Brilliant site. Never been here before and really handy for a quick cheeky weekend get away. Site is clean, tidy and quiet, staff really friendly and helpful. Great for woofers and pub is a mile or so's walk from the site(White Hart). Only downside is no wifi. Sadly we had a prang with our caravan on the way home.
Definitely come back to the is site.
A beautiful site
A lovely site. Absolutely spotless and with really helpful and friendly wardens which makes all the difference. Television reception difficult and no wifi the only drawbacks to a lovely site in a very interesting and beautiful area.

Lovely Terraced Site
Lovely site featuring small terraces, this really helps to break up the campsite. Facilities very good, wardens superb.
Lovely weekend
We stayed here just for the weekend.
A brilliant site for peace and good walks.
Clean toilets and facillites.
We will be returning.
