Our first visit to this site and we will be back!
The site has a great layout, not the usual regimented rows of most Club sites. The toilet blocks are very clean, but do seem a bit cramped compared to other sites and there will be a wait if the site is very busy.
It still irks me that many fellow "campers" do not seem to want to fit into the shared communal nature of camping and caravanning. I often find dirty; toilets, wash basins and wet shower floors, why do some think it is beneath them to tidy up and leave as they wish to find. If they find their "wee and poo", etc dirty and cannot touch it, then why should other campers and staff have to clean up after them. If it is children, then parents you really must accompany them, or teach them some etiquette and how to live and behave in a shared environment.
Excellent
We went for a long weekend, a lovely site very restful. Well maintained site and facilities, pitches set out nicely s you don't feel overcrowded, will definitely go back. Fully recommend The Squirrel pub nearby for excellent service and food.
What a lovely place
We arrived on Friday 24th March and had a weekend of beautiful sunshine.
There are pleasant dog walks through the Normanhurst Estate, although the land owners ask that dogs should be kept on a lead at all times. The site itself was immaculately clean and tidy, as were the toilets and shower facilities.
A great base to work from if you are inclined to explore East Sussex.
First time caravaner's
When we arrived at Normanhurst and told the warden that it was our first time out in our caravan she could not have been more helpful if she tried.
We found the park to be absolutely immaculate with well kept grass areas, more than enough washing and shower facilities.
The park was peaceful, quiet, friendly and relaxing.
Will definitely be going again for another visit ??.

Great First Caravan Experience
We stayed at Normanhurst for two nights (28 & 29 Oct), on our very first outing in a caravan. Overall it was a great experience. I thought the facilities were superb - incredibly smart and clean showers etc, nicely maintained gardens. The warden was very friendly and welcoming, and patient with us as novices. We had some lovely walks along the 1066 path, and the site is convenient for outings to Battle & Hastings. The whole site is a credit to everyone involved, thanks for a great first experience.
Our First Caravan Experience
We hope that this site is an example of all Caravan club sites. Friendly and helpful staff, who keep the site in immaculate condition. Pitches have a good distance between them, some secluded in the trees, some in the open. Site facilities amazed me, clean tidy and modern. Easy reach of Hastings and Bexhill with many attractions. Fabulous.
Fantastic Site
This is our second visit to this site and we enjoyed this time better than the first. The wardens are very friendly and helpful. The toilets and showers are kept to a very high standard as is the rest of the site.
The town of Battle with the Abbey are not to be missed.
We will return next year.

Lovely break
The site was lovely in a quiet area with very pleasant and helpful staff . The facilities were spotless clean. In the information room trouble had been taken to produce information on the location of supermarkets close to the site on loose sheets that campers could take away.
Beautiful setting
Stayed here for 2 nights in October, the wardens were friendly, approachable and extremely helpful. Showers and toilets are warm and spotlessly clean.
Overall a lovely site, beautiful setting and helpful pleasant wardens. Will most certainly be staying again.
