A very nice site Wardens all friendly and the Location is marvellous.
Situated in an ideal location but easily walkable to most areas of Bristol plus Ferry stop just by the site if you don't want to walk and it takes you straight to the City Centre. Also bus stops directly outside the gates including stop for Hop on Hop off tour bus. Incidentally you travel on this bus on two consecutive days for just the one days fare. Extra £1.00 off the fare for C/Club Members on the site.
All in all very enjoyable and will certainly be returning to stay on this site again.
City Break
Fabulous location and perfect for a short break to visit the lovely Bristol City with all its attractions.
We used the public transport during the majority of our most enjoyable stay. This was either by bus from directly outside the club site or by ferry which is a stones throw away. (Next to the pub)
The facilities on site are a bit tired and the shower block is badly in need of refurbishment, I understand why this is not being done as the future of this ideal site is being threatened with closure by the local council as they claim they need to land to build a school. This site must bring a fair bit of tourist trade into Bristol and closing it down will have consequences,
Brilliant
Stayed 3nights excellent can't find anything detrimental to say.Better than advertised. Will be booking soon for a week next year.
Very good site
Spent 2 nights here late September in motorhome. Great location for visiting Bristol. Short walk to SS Great Britain (well worth it) and pleasant stroll into town. Cottage pub next door was very good. Didn't eat there but good very good ales. Will visit this site again !

Quick Trip
We stayed here for 2 nights after been told by friend how good it is, they weren't wrong, lovely place to stay easy access to the city by boat and not that far a walk, we had to bring stuff over from Ireland to our daughter who is in college in Bristol and it worked out perfect. We will be back. Top class site.
Bristol City Break
Stayed here for four nights September 2015. Everything you need for a perfect city break or a lovely harbourside stay.
Facilities were all excellent tho a couple more showers would help. It's always very busy. Water taxis, tour bus and shanks pony all help you get around this wonderful city. So much history to explore so many sights to see. Would recommend a short harbour cruise first to find out where you'd like to see first. We'll defiantly be back ( If we can get in ).
perfect spot for visiting Bristol
This is a great site for visiting the wonderful city of Bristol. You have direct walking access through a private gate onto a promenade that runs the length of the Bristol floating harbour, and engineering masterpiece. From there it is a 20 min scenic walk into the city or take a water taxi. The beautiful "village" of Clifton is a brisk 30 min walk. The site is ideal for cycling and the city is cycle friendly.
Please fight to keep this site!!
Harbour Delights
Actually getting a booking for this site is an acheivement in itself, and when you do arrive you can see why it is so popular. The site itself maybe not the best for siting outside the caravan and relaxing, because its outside the site is what makes this city centre site so attractive. With a ferry to the city,SS Great Britain M shed all within the harbour area.
Clifton area up to the Suspension bridge make an interesting walk. The local Cottage Pub is handy for an evening drink.
Ideal for motorhomers visiting Bristol
We like this site, and enjoy visiting Bristol. The main problem is trying to book two consecutive nights, invariably the site is pretty well fully booked most of the time. Our last visit was a week ago, two nights and a pleasant stay, only minor complaint, as mentioned in other posts, the limited facilities and on this visit, intermittent wifi.
Great location in a fascinating city
We've stayed here quite a few times over the years as it's handy for visiting relatives, as well as exploring the city. OK, the pitches are smallish and there could be more showers etc, but the location is the big draw and more than makes up for any niggles. Where else can you pop out of the gate and catch a water ferry into town, passing the lovely SS Great Britain?! One plea to folk leaving - please make sure you don't block up the gate after 12 noon, as everyone seems to arrive on time it can be a bit of a bun-fight getting in and late leavers add to the chaos as only one unit can fit through the gates at a time.
