We were visiting relatives who live in Bristol so this site is ideally located for us. The site is clean and tidy and the facilities very clean. The wardens were friendly and helpful. Just a note for those members with dogs, the swing bridge across the river is closed for a year so access to the park is along the main road flyover at present! We will continue to use this site for as long as it remains open.
After many years of trying to get a pitch on this site, my first visit was an excellent experience. everything was spotless. Ideal location. So glad that the site has been given an extension on the lease. And hopefully I might hit the jackpot again and be able to book a pitch again on this popular site.
If I had any suggestions it would be that 2 or 3 pitches be kept free for those wishing to stop over for just one night.
So pleased the site is to remain open for a few more years. It opens onto the wharf for nice walk, restaurants, site seeing and a bus outside or water taxi takes you straight into the town. Pleasant wardens and a well maintained site, just wish it could stay open forever!!
Having tried to get on this site for a long time we were not disappointed. The site is very compact with no play areas etc however you can quickly get out on to a walk by the river Avon and the proximity to the docks, city and SS Great Britain is amazing. Compared to even a budget hotel the cost of our stay represented excellent value. Lots of novelty for our kids to enjoy - Our only regret it we didn't stay enough nights to go canoeing! Remarkably quiet at night too.
Thank the heavens this great site was given a last minute reprieve and will now hopefully stay open for at least the next 3 years.
Great site almost in the centre of the city. Good sized pitches, good wardens, good facilities and always clean. Back gate leads to the pretty waterfront. Cottage Inn pub next door, great food and a short stagger home! Water taxis run regularly and take you right into the city. £1.60 each way per adult for CC members. Lots to see and do in Bristol. This was our second visit to Baltic Wharf in 2015 and if we're lucky enough to get booked again we'll have many more.
Continuing our tour of the South West brings us to this amazing little site. Alas only stayed for one night, but still managed to see a lot of what Bristol has to offer. The site itself and its quayside location, to me had a very continental feel to it, it reminded me of a large Aire that you might see in France, especially with Motorhomers being so prominent, the ferry brings you right into Bristol City Centre in about 20 mins for about 3 quid return from just outside the site gate, so not to be missed. I hope the Caravan Club continue to operate this very unique haven of tranquility for many years to come. One other thing, site is extremely popular at any time of the year, so allow plenty of time to book!
Eventually managed to get booked onto this site. Arrived Sunday afternoon for 5 nights. Easy to find. Check in easy and was given a choice of pitches. A small busy site, but very peaceful. Great location for getting into town. A pleasant walk along the quayside or a bus ride from just outside the site. Facilities on site were really clean and showers nice and hot. I've given 5 ticks because it's a great little site. I did however, feel the lady on reception was very abrupt when I went in with a query, and felt she could have been a little more pleasant and helpful. That aside we would go back
This certainly is an oasis in the big city, and it is wonderful. Great for shopping or for relaxing if you are lucky to get a booking please go. Can't wait to go back next year.
Our third visit to this brilliant site, we love it. Clean , neat and tidy. The locality is perfect for visiting Bristol and its many sights, the wardens are helpful and informative. Our only problem was that Wifi was unobtainable for the three days that we were on site.
Just back from a 3 night motorhome stay at Baltic Wharf and we would like to congratulate Mike and Angie Adams, the current, albeit, temporary wardens, on their management skills. A warm greeting was followed by useful advice re both the site and the local area.
The site is ordinary but the location is excellent. No need to motor anywhere as ferries and buses are on the doorstep and site users can even get discounted rates. Lots to visit including Clifton Suspension Bridge which is in sight as is SS Great Britain.
