Excellent position

This site is situated in an excellent position probably one of the best for Motorhome owners. It's within walking distance of many attractions plus there is a bus stop at the entrance to the site  and a water ferry the other side. The wardens are very nice and the toilets spotless. It's a pity that its future remains in doubt  and that its so difficult to find availability.

GOOD CITY LOCATION

We have visited this site on several occasions and have never been disappointed. It is a ideally located on the dockside with water taxis to city centre or a pleasant walk past the SS Great Britain and Industrial museum.  The wardens have always been very helpful and the showers and toilets are very well kept and clean. We were there last in December and the shower blocks were always well heated.  The Cottage Inn is next door to the site that do good food and serve ales.

Spoilt by a careless owner

The site is superbly situated for a visit to Bristol with a pleasant walk along, mostly waterfront, to get to the city harbour area, then Broadmead Shopping Centre or the Hippadrome theatre. It did not start well however as when I was hooking up the electrics, in the rain, I happened to step in some unseen dog mess that some selfish owner hadn't bothered to pick up. I then transferred it to the inside of our motorhome. I was not best pleased. Not the sites fault but it sours the taste.

Nice Site

Finally managed to get a booking at Baltic Wharf. The site is well maintained and facilities are very clean as per most Caravan Club sites. Excellent location with water taxis available and bus stop outside the site to most of the major attractions and the city. Bit of noise from the busy road outside the site but you are in /near the City. Excellent Wardens on the site as well, nothing too much trouble for them. Hope they keep this site open

Thank you

Thank you to the wardens for helping me when my door locked on me at 8.30am. I was offered the phone, cups of tea and a seat while I waited for the AA. And thank you to the lovely couple who gave me a cuppa and mobile phone. Sorry I didn't see you later. All's well that ends well but I do love staying at Baltic Wharf as there is such a lot to do in Bristol and so easy to get to via the A4. Will be back.

A Site To Visit

We have just spent 5 nights on this brilliantly situated site close to the centre of Bristol, the river and the many attractions to be found locally. The S.S.GREAT BRITAIN  is a must, and your entrance ticket allows you multiple visits over the course of a year.Great value. If you walk through the town, visit the museum then carry on further to Clifton and walk across the famous bridge then walk down the river side back to base.CABOT TOWER is also worth the effort. The views are pretty good.We like cathedrals,so Bristol and Wells were both enjoyed. The buses to Wells are every half hour and the journey took about an hour,we caught the Saturday market, plenty of stalls, good variety.

Convenient Location

Finally managed to get a booking at Baltic Wharf. The site is well maintained and facilities are very clean as per most Caravan Club sites. Excellent location with water taxis available and an easy walk to most of the major attractions and the city. During the winter months boat trips and the Bristol sightseeing touring buses run a very limited / non existent service so worth checking online before you go. With the current road works it is NOT good for dog owners as there is virtually no "off lead" walking areas unless you are prepared for a very long walk first. Good café at the SS Great Britain.

A favourite site

Have been staying at Batic Wharf for years. Good but busy site, usually have to book well in advance because of its popularity. Stayed here first week in January 2016. helpful and understanding wardens, flat hard standing pitches, power and TV booster links, clean facilities, good popular pub for meals almost outside the rear gate, convenience shop just up the road, water taxi to Bristol cascades for town centre and from there to Templemeads station for trains to Bath, good day out. Site never fails to impress.

perfect site

Wow, what can I say. First time we have managed to get a pitch here. I can see why its so popular, fantastic location and lovely wardens.  Get a ferry from outside the back gate or a bus from outside the front or just as easy to walk along the harbour walk into Bristol. The route is suitable for the less able bodied too. Cannot wait to go back

Hidden gem

Having tried on numerous occasions to book a stay we were rung by the wardens and booked our weekend stay from New Year's Day First class service from the wardens and despite the very wet and windy weather had a really good stay the local ferry with concessions rates took us to the town Centre and a short walk even in the rain was pleasant Very impressed with the shops at Cabot circus and the old Centre are just as good as cribs causeway We had both evening meals at the nearby Cottage Inn We were pleased nearly everyone on site had brought their dogs with them which is one of the main reasons we Motorhomes in the UK Can highly recommend this site on both service and facilities Hope to get in again soon Jill Paul and Oakley
