Beware : warden!!!

This is my favourite club site but was bitterly disappointed in our recent stay. Before we even got there we got a call from the disgruntled warden asking if we still required our pitch as we were due to be there between 12-2 and it was now 7:20. I apologised and explained we were 6 miles from the site and would be there in 10 minutes (still 30 mins before closing time), he then went on to ask AGAIN if we were still coming  I tried to explain my forgetting to call and say we'd be later as we'd picked up our new caravan that lunch time and got held up at the dealership, to which he asked AGAIN if we were still coming. Was I speaking a different language?  When we got there at 7:30 I tried to make light of the situation saying sometimes the best things are worth waiting for to which the mild mannered man replied like my tea?  U was furious so paid and got out asap. A stark difference from the previous wardens Sarah and her husband who would have gone the extra mile to make you feel welcome. The gardens were missing the "Sarah" touch too - although it was early season.  He also put signs up in the toilets complaint to the members for making a noise when coming home in a taxi at night, to which everyone we spoke to were laughing at him for. Also a childlike sign was put at the entrance stopping taxis from entering the site. All in all I think this man has got a bit power crazy and has forgotten who pays his wages. I'm sure if he doesn't want woken up there are plenty of people who wouldn't mind putting up with that to be in charge of such a gorgeous site.

Favourite site

Our first trip out this year to our favourite site.We sent just over a week there and got the best of the weather. Great location with great dog walks no where near roads. Easy walk into town and the beach. The site is well maintained and nice and quiet. Handy for supermarkets and some nice country parks within short driving distance.Definitely a favourite for dog owners. Nearly every caravan around us had dogs and all very well behaved!

perfect stay

we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Craigie Gardens, it was so handy being central for the beach, shops, takeaways, restuarants, car boot, cycling and car boot sales. the weather was sunny. definitely will be back. Even though it was busy but it was quiet and friendly.

Tired toilet block

Nice site overall, toilets were immaculate but as stated before poor water pressure and tired looking hardware.About 20 minute walk into town centre which is run down and grubby.Downside was someone on site with a very yappy dog, could happen on any site!

Ayr Craigie Gardens Easter

Stayed for 4 nights over Easter 2016. Nice site well located. Only downside as previously reported was poor water pressure and small shower head.

Enjoyable stay

We were met with a very warm welcome by the wardens. We arrived on Good Friday and spent three nights at the site. There are good walks from the site , especially being able to walk into Ayr without having to take the car. The river walks were lovely too , especially for dog owners. We found the site well maintained and the daffodils were out which gave it a lovely Spring feel. We didn't have a problem with the shower block, the temperature of the water was good and it was spotlessly clean. Would certainly recommend it.

Peaceful Site

Been coming here for 39years,so have saw lots of improvements over the years, site is kept spotless ,from the site you can easily walk into Ayr, plenty of shops and places to eat, good dog walks ,and the people of Ayr are friendly ,and will stop and speak ,only down side is the showers ,as stated in other reviews, needing updated ,but don't know if this will happen as the lease may have not many years left to run , but hope to be back soon
