Regular users of this site.

We frequently visit to see family and as usual were not dissapointed.Facilities immaculate and to the usual high standards. We were surprised to learn after 30 odd years of caravanning that the supply of Gas on club sites is not the responsibility of the club ,but the wardens. This came to light when we were asked for an unusually high price for a bottle.Well over the RRP from Calor. We found the wardens became a little edgy when we queried this price and the request for cash only.We feel that club members should be ablle to rely on the same price for gas across the network. This apart a very pleasant stay as usual,

Excellent site

This was our first time at this site although we have stayed at many other Caravan Club sites. Pleased to say the Caravan Club standards are maintained here, the site was clean and tidy, the staff were very helpful and pleasant, and as usual the facilities were spotless, we will certainly go there again.

First stay at this site

Had seen a review on one of the Facebook groups and decided to try out for ourselves. Very easy to find and only took an hour and half to arrive. Very warm welcome from the wardens. The whole site was extremely well looked after and spotlessly clean. Showers etc also very clean and well maintained.  I was a bit worried about the site being noisy from the building work going on nearby but didn't find it too bad at all. Lovely village within easy walking distance. Will certainly be booking again soon. Well worth a visit!

Excellent stay

This was our first visit to a caravan club site.  We had picked up our first caravan the day we arrived and were impressed by the very clean standard of the site and the friendly wardens.  If this is the standard of all club sites then we will be very pleased. The staff were very helpful and friendly, the toilets/ showers were spotless, great walks for the dogs and we only went for a weekend so the site was lovely and peaceful.

Excellent site

We recently stayed at this site to visit family who live close by. We were very impressed by the small site. The wardens were very friendly and helpful when we arrived when the shop was closed. Everything was clean and to a good caravan club standard. The building work was a tad noisy at times but we had been warned and it would not put me off returning to this site if we were in the area again. We don't have children so we don't know how good it was for families but had to put a score! Maybe this should not be a compulsory option

Superb Site

We booked ahead and stayed at Ashridge Farm for 4 nights. It was easy to find, beautifully kept and the wardens friendly and very helpful. Shower/toilet block was super clean and roomy. We were warned well in advance that there would be some noise from adjacent building works but this was not too intrusive and will be gone after Christmas, which would make the 'peace and quiet' score 5 stars. Will certainly use it again when we want to visit the area in the future.

Pretty site

We have stayed here on two other occasions and really enjoy it here. The town is a 10 minute pleasant walk where we visited the Three Tuns pub. Very nice pub with lovely gardens and good food. The village is lovely and peaceful with a natural spring. The site is well kept and the wardens friendly, the toilet block does need updating as it is looking a little tiered. Will definitely return next year.

An excellent site

When we first arrived the wardens were having lunch but as we didn't know this we rang the bell. One of the wardens immediately arrived, smiling, and made us very welcome. The site is the best maintained and cleanest that we have ever stayed on. I was not sure that 2 each of loos, privacy cubicles and shows would be enough, but we never had to wait for any of these facilities. The village of Aswell is very close and has three pubs, and a nice little cafe, but sadly no post office. The local butcher, Crumps, by the church is fantastic. and all the produce sold , meat, pork pies and vegetables are of the highest quality. We enjoyyed good meals and beer and friendly service in 2 of the pubs, The Rose and Crown and the Bushel and Strike. This site will get 5 stars all round once  the building work next door is finished. Trips to Duxford I.W.M. and Wimpole Hall were enjoyed as was a train ride to Cambridge on Saturday when the local station car par was empty. All in all a thoroughly enjoyable stay.

One of the best

A really enjoyable stay at the nicest site we have been to this year. Pitches and facilities are good, and proximity to Ashwell village is a bonus. Wardens were very friendly. Thank you.

Perfect for us

We chose Ashbridge Farm as we have family living nearby also the close proximity to the Railway Station, as we have another son in London. The site is in a lovely English village complete with local shops including an excellent bakery and a little coffee shop with really pleasant staff. They made us very welcome and even brought our dog a bowl of water. The caravan site is clean and well maintained with efficient staff. So much so we decided to book our caravan into the storage facility so we no longer need to tow it up and down the A1 from York. Looking forward to many more long weekends there.
