The tow in is easy, the last 400m looks scary but isn't. TheToilets/Shower is recent and well kept. Our pitch was level, so set up was really easy. The CDP leads to a septic tank, so you need non-formaldehyde toilet fluid - usefully the owner has some for sale if you arrive without. Good information hut. You can get a TV signal but there is also a wired booster, so you do need to know how to connect an external aerial cable to your rig. Lovely walk from the site up onto Maiden Castle.
Excellent site
Despite difficulties with booking on the website, the owner could not have been more helpful in sorting this out and keeping us informed about our booking. Rain in the week beforehand meant the grass pitch was u suitable for our 3.5 ton motorhome but again the cheerful owner sorted this quickly and we were given a hardstanding. It is a very quiet and peaceful CL and yet the main road with buses to Weymouth and Dorchester is within 10 minutes walk of the site, making it easy to leave your van and yet travel in the area. There is no drive over waste drain but we were able to use a drainage hosepipe to access the drain, and there is a CDP point and bins. I would highly recommend this beautiful CL.

Excellent CL with great facilities
We love this site and the facilities are great for a CL - it's quiet and peaceful although on a working farm, the loos and shower are clean and in a converted outbuilding, the wifi is good and better than most club sites and there are now a couple of hardstanding pitches. It's easy to get into local facilities and great for walking and cycling the highways and byways of this part of Dorset. Judy, the host, is very welcoming and we've now been here twice - and will be back again!
Lovely site below Maiden Castle
Well managed site in rural setting but with good access to buses for Dorchester and Weymouth. Excellent facilities and easy access. Have stayed here many times and have always been welcomed.

Great welcome, fantastic facilities!
Booked for same day arrival on a bank holiday weekend due to a water leak at the site we had originally booked. Judy was very welcoming and helpful especially given the torrential rain on arrival. The site itself was very well maintained and had the most amazing toilets and showers. Toilets were roomy and very clean. The shower was the best of any CL and better than most club sites we have visited with loads of hot water and good disabled access. Maiden Castle a short walk away is very impressive as is Weymouth, Portland and Dorchester.
We had a great long weekend, thanks Judy!
Lovely calm site, ideally placed for walks and bus routes
Lovely farm site, very welcoming. Excellent facilities, a calming stay. Adjacent to a farm buildings and tractors so occasionally one passes by, all adds to the place.
Thoroughly enjoy our stays, regardless of the weather!!
Small quiet site with easy access
Stayed here over the Easter weekend with friends and the site is lovely just what we needed. There is one shower room with toilet and sink and a separate toilet. We stayed on the grass and had no issues. Within easy reach of Swanage and Weymouth and Portland. There is plenty of local info in the info hut. We will definitely visit again.
Great spot for visiting family
We chose this site as it is close to visit family.
Judy was very welcoming and due to the recent wet weather we were on the hardstanding but we were still able to put our awning up.
The WiFi wasn't available the first day but that was fixed the following morning
The site is clean and well kept, the toilet and shower room were a bonus and a big plus for the great shower.
It is close to the main road and there was some traffic noise but it didn't keep us awake. Considering this the setting is very rural.
As others have said, very close to bus routes and the main road to Dorchester and Weymouth with Tesco a 20 min walk away.
We will be back when staying with family is not an option.
Easter stay 23
We picked this site because it was small and had space for those that were staying. We had plenty of room. We were parked on the grass but it hard-core onto so if was not messy and was stable. There is one separate toilet, although in the same block. Then a large single room with a good shower sink and toilet. For a small site I think that is quite OK. Also whenever I went to it,it had been cleaned. Lovely short walk to Maiden Castle. Easy cycling,to many places. Bus stop outside, short walk. We would come back here again. We did not have any noise from the farm, however we were there over Easter.
Fantastic little site
A lovely site in a great location. We stayed for one night and loved the showers they were lovely, hot and clean. The hut is full of information and a great idea. Close to Dorchester and another local town so we popped there for fish and chips - parking in our large motorhome was easy!
Hosts were really friendly and kept in touch before we arrived. Will definitely stay again.
