Another lovely visit to this fabulous site

This is our third visit to this site and we will certainly be back again. You can be assured of a warm welcome from Mr &Mrs Wellock. The site is set in a beautiful location within easy reach of Skipton and the surrounding area including Grassington. The site is well maintained and looked after. The toilets and shower areas are first class. The information pack compiled by Mrs Wellock is very comprehensive and informative and a boon to new and regular visitors alike.

A Great Site in a excellent location for the Dales

This site is perfect, great level pitch, plenty of space and in a great location for the Dales and Skipton which is a 'must visit' the owners were so helpful and provided a full binder of local places to see etc. It has 2 toilets and 2 showers. Would go back here again

The splendour of the Yorkshire Dales

If you don't enjoy the great outdoors, and don't enjoy lots of room or a good level pitch then this will not be for you. A BRILLIANT CL with friendly owners two toilets and two showers for visitors to use. We'll certainly be returning.

Very tranquil

This site is wonderfully tranquil. Facilities are clean and well cared for. The surrounding countryside is stunning . The owners are very friendly and helpul but not obtrusive. Access to the site is straightforward, rather narrow lane in final approach but not a problem as such. Pitches are hardstanding and spacious and water, recycling and elsan point are easy to access. Local village of Gargrave has good facilities and easy to travel to local points of interest such as Skipton, Grassington, Settle. The walking is excellent with the three Yorkshire peaks close at hand.

Top of the list

What a brilliant site, grass beautifully cut and clippings collected, so no unnecessary mess in the caravan. Both Kathy and Brian are brilliant hosts and should be so proud of this site, peace, tranquillity and beautiful scenery. This is one we will most definitely use when we next visit this area. Did mean to suggest to Brian if it would have been possible for a small fenced off area to let the dog off, but forgot. This site has to be voted for as CL of the year.

Great Place to stay, very peaceful

We were very impressed upon arrival, there was a board with our name on directing us to where we needed to be. Pitches very spacious, part hard standing with lovely table and chairs next to each pitch. We didnt use the facilities but had a quick look, very clean and tidy - would recommend this site. (we went with our 2 children and there was enough grass space for them to run around and enjoy themselves). They loved the fact we saw 2 calves being born.

Great site, lots of space each with picnic table and bench

Very impressed with the site. We had hardstanding for our campervan and grass around it. Each pitch had a picnic table and bench. The short walk to the shower and toilet block which was clean and well cared for. On arrival we were given a map so we could go for a walk. Very tranquil and pretty scenery. We were only there for one night so didnt need to go off site. The nearest life was about 2 mile walk but we didnt get chance to find out. Very friendly

A March trip

Thoroughly appreciated the quality of this CL. We booked late, having decided to stay on after a family wedding in Ilkley, but every day on this site was a joy. Wide open views, that unique Yorkshire tingle in the air, easy access and fine services. Just what CL's are all about.

Great site

We have visited this site twice soon to be three times what a site for a cl the pitch's are huge and area very peaceful .Phone signal and TV signal can be a bit hit and mis depending where you are on site but the silence makes up for that .The showers and toilets are clean plus the owners are very nice and approachable and are always willing to talk which is great for me as I just love the farm life.

One of the very best

This wonderful CL is a credit to the owners. From making a booking to arriving on site, spending time on the site and finally departing, everything has been a pleasure and just what we expected. Two well maintained, level areas all with good access and level pitches, wonderful views, shelter from dry stone walls, water and waste points not very far away. The toilets and showers were spotless, heated and piping hot water. Pitches are a generous size, we had no problems with TV or phone reception. We walked our two dogs off site down the local lanes on expanding leads and had little traffic problems, might be a bit busier in the Summer months. The CL is ideal for touring the Dales in all directions, and of course Skipton with its castle, canal wharf and lovely shops is only a short ride away. A beautiful CL that we shall return to again and again. Thank you.
