Absolutely FANTASTIC!

What a fabulous site this is. The site is spacious so even when full you have plenty of space to yourselves. There are hard standings, picnic tables and chairs for every pitch. Seat House is situated in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales National Park and is within very easy access to Skipton ( 15 minutes drive), Malham ( 15 mins drive) and many more lovely places. The site is quiet and access to it very good .There is a spotlessly clean shower block and toilets and also a holiday cottage on site ( ideal if you want a holiday with none caravanning friends or family!!).The owners keep a low profile during your stay but when I booked our holiday Mrs Wellock was very friendly and professional on the telephone and promptly sent us a receipt for our deposit and directions. On our day of departure the winds were gale force and we were concerned about driving home. Mrs Wellock said we could leave our caravan on the site at no extra cost and we could return to collect it later when the winds eased down ( we don't leave too far away).Fortunately the winds eased and we could make the trip home. This site is fantastic. We HIGHLY recommend it and really cannot wait to visit again. Well done to Mr and Mrs Wellock for running such a gorgeous site.

Cracking Site

What a cracking site this is stunning location, wonderful views, great facilities and friendly helpful owners. So much to do in the area that our 5 day visit wasn't long enough.

Relaxing CL

Spent 5 nights at seat house after trying for so long we got a cancellation spot last week due to the weather. This really is a lovely CL where you can relax and unwind. There is a 6/7 van extension in another field where we were which is just as quite. The owners were ever so helpful and it is recommended.

very helpful site owners

We stayed here for a weekend in late march and as a result of heavy snow had to leave the van on site for several days due to my storage site being inaccessible. Mrs Wellock was very understanding of our situation and would not accept any payment for us having to leave the caravan on site.. The site itself is easily accessible and nice and flat with excellent facilities, even the showers are heated! We would have liked to explore the area but the weather put paid to that.

Really Good Find

What a pleasant rural location near to the Yorkshire Dales. With a lovely, open aspect, this was a well-kept site with the hardstanding essential to us motorhomers and we were made to feel very welcome. The availability of hook-up was appreciated but there was also the bonus of toilets & showers of a standard which bears comparison with club sites. Although opportunities would be limited for a longer stay, as we prefer to leave our motorhome on site, this is such a pleasant spot, I would consider hiring a car from, say, Skipton for a few days to enable us to stay longer as there are so many lovely places nearby.

Just what caravans were made for!

Brilliant, quiet site with all the peace and quiet you can handle in the Yorkshire Dales. Excellent toilet/shower facilities a short walk from the van at the farm and some picnic benches provided. Short distance to the likes of Malham Cove, Gordale Scar etc and the delights of Skipton. (Two for one with Caravan Club vouchers into the castle). Why go anywhere else?

This is how it should be done!

This is how all CL's should be. We arrived to find a sign to show us where to go and pitch up. Once we were sorted we booked in and the owners really do make you feel welcome, always there if you need them but not bothing you - perfect. The pitches are hard standing, with electric, and a nice little extra is the picnic bench with seat for alfresco dining just for your own use. The showers and toilets are kept prestine and are just a little walk away from the van. The farm itself is a working dairy so be prepared for the ladies moo'ing to remind you that your on a farm. (We love that!) This is one of those CL's that your so glad you've found. Total relaxaion and we can't wait to get back.

Our first visit to a CL and what a good choice!

We are new to caravanning and this was our first CL. It has set the gold standard for the future. Level site with mostly hard standings and lots of room between pitches. Toilets and showers were clean with plenty of hot water. Lovely countryside with sheep and cattle in the surrounding fields. Each day we were visited by a red legged partridge and her brood of chicks and also regularly watched by the local rabbit population! Excellent variety of walks from hills and dales to a great walk along the Leeds and Liverpool canal. A well stocked Co-op in nearby Gargrave. We will certainly be back to explore more of this delightful area.
