Ten pitch CL?

Ten pitches on this site and throughout our week long stay there were always at least 8 units there and sometimes all 10 pitches were filled. This put a strain on the single toilet and shower housed in the same room. The site plan layout shows pitches 1-5. Given a choice we would not recommend pitch 4 as it is the only one without an adjacent grassed area and was very cramped. Followed their instructions to ring from Menai Bridge on arrival but call was answered with “I’ll call you back in 5 minutes, I’m on the other phone”. Didn’t get a return call so arrived and set up. Eric seemed distracted by building work going on but was pleasant enough when we made ourselves known to him. The free Wi-Fi provided was much appreciated. Anglesey is a beautiful island with some stunning coastal walks, interesting wildlife and unique historical sites. We would happily return to the island.

Just Great

We have just spent 11 nights at The Brambles CL So relaxing we lost track of time. Bird song to start the day. Pitches are well laid out and are fully serviced. Shower and toilet facilities on site. Ideally located for visiting the many attractions and beaches in the area. We will return soon.

Wonderful start to our holiday

Eric and Sue are great hosts, nothing was too much trouble. They wre constantly maintaining the grounds. Pitches were well laid out, plenty of room and the site was pretty/peaceful with 3 ponds to watch. The only thing we found was there are very little safe dog walks from the site, we did find a footpath down the lane which was pleasant, beware though as live stock are in some fields. Definitely recommended site 5 *. Theresa, Andy and Merlin

One of my Favourite CL Sites

This is a wonderful. The birds and their songs where fantastic. All the sites are very well set out with EHU, Drinking water, Grey water drain away and WiFi, all on a hard surface. When I get back to your area, You will certainly be my first choice because of the way Sue and Eric helped us as much as we wanted. They could not do enough. Thank you for a wonderful site

Already booked a pitch for next year

It's hard to put anything different to what the previous reviews have said. For us this was perfection, a serviced pitch on a quiet site in great surroundings. Had a delightful nine days and still a lot more places to visit when we return. We saw a red squirrel in Newborough Forest and a pair of porpoises off Llanddwyn Island.

Lovely site

Stayed here for 5 nights to use as a base to explore Anglesey. Excellent site on all counts. Eric and Sue have put in a tremendous amount of effort to make this a great place to stay. Facilities are excellent with full service on each pitch and plenty of space on the pitch to accommodate us and our dogs. Very friendly welcome and attention to ensure we were settled in ok. Good location for getting about Anglesey and extremely handy for the outstandingly spectacular Llanddwyn beach and Newborough Forest. Will stay here again if we return to Anglesey

Can't wait to return

We have just returned from our first visit to Anglesey and Brambles CL. Both deserve 5 stars. There is so much to see and do on the island and Brambles is ideally placed for visiting all areas. Eric and Sue have created a little oasis on the edge of Newborough Forest with its numerous walks and beautiful beach. The CL has a well thought out set of hardstanding pitches with water, EHU, grey waste drainage and recycling bins to each pitch. Also, a very clean, covered building for emptying black waste. Whilst we didn’t use the shower and toilet block it seemed to be very presentable. We tow an 8.3mtr caravan and strongly recommend larger units to follow the alternative route recommended by Eric. From booking to arrival, we received a number of emails full of useful information which we felt was a great help. On arrival we were welcomed by Sue who directed us to our pitch and gave a quick resume of the facilities etc. Whilst on the island we walked various sections of the Anglesey Coastal Path, visited Plas Newydd house and grounds (NT), and had a brilliant boat trip (Seacoast Safaris) from Beaumaris to see the various bridges spanning the Menai Strait and Puffin Island (yes, we did see puffins, grey seals and harbour porpoise). My wife is Coeliac and it was great to discover a Cantonese restaurant in Bangor that had a full menu of GF and GF options. Our first Chinese meal in the 10 years since her diagnosis. Thank you, Garden Hotel & Cantonese Restaurant, in the High Street, Bangor. We are now about to book a return visit to Brambles CL to see all those places we missed after running out of time and spend longer revisiting the places we saw on this trip. Can’t wait to return.

Nature & Tranquility

I would recommend this gem of a CL for those who want peace and to be amongst nature. Its such a well set out site, with each pitch having a good level of privacy with the wonderful shrubs and hedges planted to good effect. Dawn chorus is superb, and the site attracts so much wildlife. Newborough village, forest and beach all within walking distance, including ynys Llandwyn (4 miles). The forest is such a delightful walk, with the magnificent corsican pines keeping you sheltered, and the beach is a huge expanse of sand and dunes. And if your feeling peckish (like we did after our 9 mile walk), there's cafi nain next door at the transport museum, which accepts dogs outside (sheltered with a canopy) and in the conservatory. Well worth a visit to this lovely part of anglesey.
