We recently visited and stayed for 2 nights - Friendly welcome from Eric and his lovely dog Issy - Eric had already advised me of building work when I first enquired about pitch availability but apologised again. This wasn’t disruptive for us as we’d planned to take our dog walking during the day anyway.
The site as it was, was already very good - serviced level hard standing pitches with plenty of space and a nice feeling, certainly one of the more spacious CLs we have visited, and as my wife said, probably our new favourite local CL.
As another member has stated, Newborough is about a 15 minute walk away, but has a lovely beach and forest walk - you can spend a few hours pleasant walk here and I think from Easter time, there are a couple of catering trailers parked in the main beach car park for good quality refreshments.
A site we will definitely return to.
Excellent site for an action packed autumn break
We were very pleased to find this excellent site for our 6 night November holiday. Eric was very welcoming and helped us to assemble our newly purchased water and waste equipment, and made sure that we felt at home on our individual pitch, set within the attractively landscaped site. The hardstanding, and well drained and sheltered pitch, was ideal for weathering the high winds and heavy rains that have been sweeping the country. We found it an excellent base both for mountain walking in snowdonia and coastal walks, sightseeing and orienteering on beautiful Anglesey. Lots more still to see so we will definitely have to return!
Just lovely and relaxing
What a lovely quirky little site. We enjoyed ourselves so much that we decided to stay an extra night. Eric and Sue were such lovely welcoming people and nothing was too much trouble for them. Easy access and a sheltered place to park up. Ideal for exploring the whole of Anglesey or if you want to pop over the straits to the mainland. Our two dogs were given a lovely welcome by Izzie, Eric and Sue's gorgeous little Collie. We look forward to returning next year and seeing how the wild flower meadow looks after Eric has scattered the seed! Good luck to the both of you, you deserve it. Jane and Neil
Torches essential there's no light pollution therefore, ideal for star gazing.

New CL with a lot of charm
The site is easy to find just off the B4421 but it is best not follow sat nav instructions or you may end up down a very narrow lane. We were made very welcome by Eric who took time to help us choose our pitch. The site has been well thought out with spacious level pitches, bushes between each pitch for privacy, and each pitch has it's own water, drainage and electricity. It has a 'wild, natural ' feel about it and feels quite secluded and peaceful. The site opened in July and we gather that some further improvements are in the pipeline. Eric encouraged feedback about what had been put in place and we were pleased with what had been done, everything was tidy and the facilities were excellent. We thought that the site offered good value for money.
The site was well placed to visit Newborough Forest and beach, both of which are stunning. We can recommend the pub in Aberffraw for food and drink; the pub in Newborough was a little disappointing - no real ales and a limited menu.We were able to visit most of the Island easily from here and the cycling is excellent with quiet lanes and stunning scenery.
If Carlsberg made CL sites..
We stayed on the site 20th July for two nights in a 7.4 mt motorhome.
We were not disappointed! What a little gem!
The site has been newly completed by its very welcoming owner and the attention to detail needs to be seen to be believed.
The 5 hard standing pitches are spacious, level, offering privacy, with their own water, drain and electric hook up. The whole plot is immaculately kept.
The pitches are surrounded by shrubbery, wild flowers and three lovely ponds. There was an abundance of bird and wildlife and the whole site was tranquil, peaceful and ideally located for Newborough and the surrounding area's. Great as a base for exploring the island.
We visited Newborough village (3 min drive away), where there was a nice chippy, cafe and small convenience store.
The only consideration is the B road leading to the site from the A55. It is 4 miles long (approx) and can get a little narrow in places. Just be prepared to take your time. You also need to be fully self sufficient with a toilet. The site will be having a toilet and shower in the future, as part of the programme of development.
The owner could not do enough to ensure our stay was five star, with lots of local tips for the area. Thanks very much Eric!
We will definitely be revisiting the site this season and would like to go back in the winter aswell. It is also fantastic value for money.
Highly recommended!!

Lovely welcome
We had the privilege of being the first visitors to Brambles. Lovely welcome from Eric who has put a lot of thought and hard work into getting the site ready for all year use with 5 hardstanding pitches each with water, drain and electric. 3 wild life ponds and dog walk with lots of trees attracting lots of wild life. A 15 minute walk takes you to the village of Newborough then a further 15 minutes walk through meadows to Newborough forest with its endless walking trails and huge beach. Eric has plans to add toilets and more landscaping to soften the pitches. A site we shall definitely return to.
