Overpriced for what it offers

This site is accurately described, but we felt that in comparison to the many other fantastic CLs we have stayed at, it is overpriced for the standard of facilities offered. If the site had been busier, the combined shower and toilet facility could be a problem, and is quite a distance from the pitches. In our experience, it wasn't a problem but the facilities are basic and located in a dingy old tack room. Apart from that the site is adequate, but we were disappointed in comparison with all the other sites we have stayed at.

Beautiful

This CL is what you would expect of a CL. Very spacious, clean, very friendly, lovely walks, great for dogs. we stayed for a couple of days ( wished it had been longer) When we arrived we had a lovely welcome from Vicki Bonney. We could position our caravan how it best suited us, very friendly chickens wandering around. The whole ambience of the place was stress free. Not far from Knaresborough. Will certainly be going back to stay there again. A gem.

Great site

Right from start had excellent communications with Vicki the owner. Site is large so you are not on top of each other and the toilet/shower facilities where immaculate.

Best CL Site

Our 1st experience of booking a CL site and it's a little gem! The site owners Vicky and Graham were absolutely fantastic and made us feel so welcome. The site is so peaceful, clean and tidy with lovely views over the fields and lots of walks - we loved it and so did our two dogs.  It's a great mix of countryside, tranquility, walks, good pubs, great shopping and plenty of history and culture if you want it all on the doorstep which was fab. Definately will be on our return hit list and if all the CL sites are as good as this one we cannot wait to visit them!

Great site

What a peaceful site, surrounded by fields all enclosed with fences & gates, with easy access to all. We were met on arrival by Vicky who gave us all the information needed.Knaresborough very close with a market & lots of interesting shops & pubs.Try the pub at Scotton. The  Guy Fawkes, but book first. The food is superb. Will be back.

brilliant spot

Had the most wonderful long weekend here (April 2015) The site was easy to find and the welcome very warm and friendly. We loved the site and all the places of interest to visit nearby (We needed a two week stay really to see everything) The facilities were good, pitches great, countryside amazing and the owners so helpful and accommodating. We will definitely return as soon as we can.

Got potential

This is a new CL for the benefit of CC members. The hosts were exceptional and very friendly, a pleasure to chat with and made a point of not only meeting us to welcome but met with us before we left to wish us well, full marks. Unfortunately, very close to the site is some industrious work ongoing  (Feb 15) where heavy vehicles are moving early in the morning using the reverse beepers, National grid I think?? I could handle the cockerel, being nature but the lorries .... annoying! The location though for access to the sights, (which I would recommend) Bolton abbey, Brigham Rocks, Knaresborough and of course Harrogate is second to none what a great county. Facilities are being upgraded but what was on offer was adequate for use and when the upgrades are complete this will be a site that will be very good I have no doubt. Unsure how the sum of £18 per night is justified, that said it is clear before arrival so cant complain too much as no surprise but would suggest less is more in the quiet months. In summary great location for places of interest, on completion of upgrades and construction workers being moved on it will be great, thanks

Lovely spot

We spent 2 nights here in January. An excellent winter site with good hard standing and hook up. Very friendly welcome and gorgeous eggs. A lovely quiet spot, well set back from the road. Will come again!
