Second stay at this wonderful site, so peaceful and beautifully maintained. The owners Vikki and Graham are so welcomig. We had a problem when a storm arrived and damaged our awning, they could not do enough for us, they called us while we were out and came to pick us up and Graham helped us sort everything out. Vikki also kindly gave us a lift into town the next day. We cannot thank them enough and look forward our stay for New Year. Thanks again Chris n Bob X
Another great stay .
Another great stay . Vicky & graham fantastic hosts .its our favourite cl could play bowls on grahams lawn its cut that nice weather was great nothing is too much trouble for them & always there if you need them .As Arnie would say i"ll be back . ray n joyce Misty n Amber.
We'll be back!!
Unfortunately Vikki was not able to greet us on arrival as they had gone away themselves for the weekend, but she did leave a welcoming committee. Doris (as we named her) the chicken followed us up the steps of the washroom to say "hello" and was there again Sunday morning to make sure we were awake - even coming into the camper van! A lovely, peaceful and clean site with the new washroom a wonderful asset. It's worth going back just for that! The local Guy Fawkes pub was recommended for evening meals, but unfortunately we were unable to get a table. We did however drive for a couple of miles into Arkendale and discovered The Blue Bell, which we can thoroughly recommend. The food was delicious and reasonably priced and the chocolate orange fondant dessert is to die for! We will definitely be back to Port Arthur as it's well situated for lots of places of interest and anyway we promised Vikki we would come back when we had our new motorhome.
A definite CL of the Year contender
I can only echo others' comments about the qualities of Port Arthur Farm. Vicki & Graham are great hosts. Huge credit to them for how they have developed their lovely CL, including choice of grass and hardstanding, spacious pitches, the wonderful amenities block, tranquility and ease of access. Our only frustration, which is not within their control one jot, was lack of 3G/4G connectivity on O2 (am now in the market for one of those wifi extender doobries). It wouldn't stop us going back at all however. Overall, a great site, which with its undoubted growing reputation, will need to be booked well in advance.
Lucky find
Found this site by chance when couldn`t book the Knaresborough Caravan Club site. What luck. Graham & Vicki are so welcoming and the peace and quiet is not exaggerated. No children, great. 5 minutes into Knaresborough. We ate at The Guy Fawkes, 2 minutes away by car in Scotton, not cheap but worth a visit. The food was excelent. Would highly recommend this site but hope its not so popular that we can`t go back if need to be in the area.

What a brilliant site !
We have stayed in the club site at knaresborough but this us far better. Lovely quiet field, brilliant new shower room and toilets. Close to country walks. Owners were there to meet with information. Very friendly. Open all year. Very well maintained. The only problem will be getting back on ! Hope to see again soon. Mark, Katie & Duffy x
Fabulous facilities.
This has got to be the best facilities you will ever come across.Fabulous . And they lady of the house allows you to walk in all the fields fabulous for our four legged friends. Plenty of room between pitches . My only gripe and I know if it's noted it would be sorted. The greenery along the drive in is a bit overgrown so scratches the vans . But no damage done.

Bonney site!
We have just spent 5 nights at this Cl, our 1st visit to a CL site and we were not disappointed. On arrival, Vicky showed us around and gave us choice of grass or hardstanding. We chose grass as the outlook over the open field was just superb. We were encouraged to use their adjacent fields to allow our dog to have a run. Unfortunately day 2 of our visit resulted in our car not starting and Graham was most helpful where Greenflag weren't and not only offered us use of his own vehicle if needed but also arranged for his mechanic to come and assist us. There are wandering chickens and cockerels and also a horse in the paddock next to the site and you do feel like you are in the middle of the countryside and yet Knaresborough is very accessible and there are copious amounts of walks from site. I look forward to using this site again. One only little snag and that is the wife fell up the rather high steps up to the washroom (which is impeccable and the best we have used on a site yet!) and grazed her leg and arm and felt a wally. She wasn't concentrating but on reflection, the distance between each step is higher than the norm and there is only one banister so open on one side. Anyone with mobility problems may struggle but I am sure Mr and Mrs Bonney would assist happily and may even have an alternative for less mobile clientele. I cannot fault this site and for the price, unbeatable.
