PERFECT PITCH

Excellent location in the corner of the estate. Visted in June when the Rhodedenrons were in full bloom which screened the CL from the hall. Was given a map of the estate at reception on arrival and would recommend the circular walk from the site up over the Kelda's which had a beautiful view of Ullswater. The shops in both Glenridding and Patterdale were well stocked and the one in Patterdale baked their own bread daily, also has a bit of fame as being visted by Julia Bradbury when filming the Coast to Coast walk. If in a motorhome, you do need a long water lead and the tap is a domestic type push one, but this was our only negative point. The recycling and rubbish area was well fenced off and organised. I did use the launderette which was very reasonably priced. Would definately return.

Definitely one of our favourite CLs. Fab location for walking, lots to do & see, v.close to Ullswater & 2 villages with local shops, pubs etc, pitches in trees next to river so somewhat shaded. Easy access to site, but road noise from A592 which runs along one edge of the site, only bearable as location is so good.
