Beautiful location with much needed peace and quiet

Quiet site with lovely views and local walks from the site. Unfortunate that the weather had been extremely wet before we arrived - we had to use hard standing as grass was waterlogged. People arriving a few days later were able to pitch on the grass. Great to have the serviced pitch as it saved having to keep refilling the water - no showers on site so you need to shower in your van. Chickens kept by owners so fresh free range eggs available No shop in Arlingham itself but well stocked general store in nearby Frampton. Few miles to any supermarket - worth the slight inconvenience to be able to enjoy secluded location. Plenty to see and do - Gloucester, Forest of Dean Railway, Dean Heritage centre plus plenty of opportunities to take scenic drives around lovely villages and towns. Would visit again.

Stayed at this site last year. Its situated at ther end of a long lane and is yards from the R Severn - good walks along the river bank in both directions, also across fields using footpaths, Ideal for those wishing to view the "bore", but check the times on the bore website. Friendly owner, free range eggs available with village shop a few miles away. Bit of a treck to larger shops but not a problem for us. There were 4 other vans there when we visited but there is plenty of room between pitches which are well mown and level. There are a couple of hard standings. We'll be going back this year.
