Fantastic site and lovely owners

Stayed over Easter for 3 nights and had a lovely welcome from Jane the owner. Site is lovely and tranquil and made even better as cars are kept off grasss (not far away at all).  Facilities are very clean and regularly checked. Will definitely return.

Probably one of our favourite CLs

Stayed here for 1 week mid October and will definitely return.  Very pretty and peaceful site.  All vans were well spaced and private. There is a single shower and toilet but we didn't use them.  Jane (the owner) was so helpful and friendly. Whilst there we visited Cheddar Gorge, Bristol , Wells, Weston, Cardiff & Portishead.  Loved it

Tranquil

We have just spent 5 nights here and would highly recommend the site. Peaceful and relaxing, in a picturesque setting the site is extremely well maintained and managed. The owners were very welcoming and attentive but not intrusive. Also very understanding when our dog disgraced himself! Probably the best cl we have stayed on - we will be returning!

Wonderful Site

Visited in August 2015, had wonderful time, good attentive owners, good fishing, nice setting and clean facilities. We have already booked our return visit in October. Good TV reception.

A hidden gem.

Well worth negotiating the previously mentioned country lane. Jane and Steve very attentive and helpful. Great setting, good facilities for dog walkers or those seeking tranquillity. Will be back for a second helping!

A bit late writing this review (stayed for the maximum during may/june). A nice site. Well kept and clean. Lovely sitting watching the fish come up to the flies dancing over the water. Jane always on hand to see to the guests. She must get tired surely? Steve makes a lovely drop of home brew, pity it's just a hobby and not his profession. They have a large dog walk. There are two footpaths either end of the lane. One goes along the river and the other goes up to Banwell. If nit-picking, the downsides would be the narrowness of the approach roads and the potholes in the passing places. I couldn't get the wi-fi but could see two wi-fi signals. Everything else has already been covered by previous reviewers. Hope Jane and Steve would have me back again, although that might be difficult due to the popularity of the site.

Our new favorite CL

We spent two nights at this CL in our motorhome as part of a coastal tour in the West Country. It is important to use the directions given and, in particular, not to drive through the local village, Banwell, as its streets are very narrow We were met at the entrance by the very friendly and attentive owner.  The standings are all grassed and quite level. The site itself is beautiful with three ponds (one for anglers) all of which a worthy of being painted by Monet. There is one spacious WC / washroom each for men and women and a single shower room. All are clean and very well maintained. We did not find the motorway noise to be a problem and the planes are going to be a problem anywhere you stay in this area. Downsides? The ponds and presence of a number of nearby horse stables mean the insect repellent is recommended. Oh, and we did not see the kingfisher! Will we go back? Undoubtedly (and not only to try to see the kingfisher).

What more could you want!

Just returned from a 4 night break. We were greeted by the owner Jane with the offer of tea/coffee before she showed us to our pitch. Right next to the lake, perfect for us to do a spot of fishing and watch the heron, kingfisher and ducks. This site is beautifully kept, with short cut grass and like the previous person to review liked the idea of the cars being kept away from the vans. Jane popped along at some point every day just to make sure everything was ok - a very thoughtful touch. Weston Super Mare about 15 mins away with a few retail parks about 10 mins away for those who need some retail therapy. All in all a wonderful 4 days and didn't want to leave. We WILL be back.
