Peaceful haven

Gem of a site. Richard was welcoming and helpful throughout our weekend visit, even offering to help tow us off the pitch at the end of our stay should the need arise due to the wet weather. Luckily this wasnt needed as the sun put in an appearance on second day and dried the ground up enough The site itself is in a peaceful tranquil location, offering large pitches and is generally kept clean and tidy. We enjoyed our morning dog walks around the meadow and discovered the little nature reserve behind the gate. Easy access to the south coast from Margate round to Brighton roughly an hours drive in any direction. We had the added bonus of watching an acrobatic display provided by one of the planes on site and watched it taxi back to the hangar from the comfort of our caravan. Already planning a longer visit next year to explore further, and hopefully have time to visit the tea rooms in site. Thank you Richard, see you next year and hopefully we will bring some sunshine.

Super Perfect!

From arriving to sadly leaving after our stay, we can honestly say everything was Super and absolutely Perfect! Richard is so kind, really helpful, and always on site if you need anything or have a question, he'll stop what he's doing to chat with you. He constantly maintains and looks after the CL and the Airfield with great pride. We had the most Super and Perfect stay, we've booked again!!! Looking forward to returning, cant wait, and missing the croaking Toads, they're so funny!!! Thanks Richard, to your Family and All at Hamilton Airfield CL for an absolutely Super & Perfect stay!

The perfect CL

Hamilton Farm is a gem of a site and everything that you want a CL to be. Surrounded by glorious Kent countryside, there is plenty of walking and safe, quiet cycling. Not only does it include well maintained toilet, shower, and dish washing facilities, but it also has a well-stocked fishing lake, gorgeous cafe and an aerial show courtesy of the light aircraft that fly from the grass airfield that's part of the site (including Richard's own bi-plane). Pitches are large and each have glorious views. All of this is thanks to Richard and his family who have set up a beautiful and welcoming place to stay. Richard is such a warm host. During our stay we had to rush back home for a family health scare and Richard was so understanding and helpful, even providing us with free bacon butties and coffee from the cafe to set us up for our journey home. Thank you, Richard. Gary & Jenny, Cambridgeshire.

Excellent CL

Only stayed here 1 night as a stopover but would definitely recommend and return. The owner, Richard, gave us a very warm & friendly welcome. Great facilities, good for dog walking, such a lovely, peaceful spot & obviously attracts regulars, can see why! Keep up the good work Richard & thank you. Jo & Dean - Leicester.

Lovely memorable Site

There is not really much to add to previous reviews, so rather than repeating them I would just say that this is a splendid site, Richard is a really friendly host. This was our first visit here but we will certainly be returning

Great Site

We recently spent a fantastic weekend at Hamilton Farm, a beautiful, peaceful, and clean site. Our first time camping and couldn't have chosen a better place, so relaxing. So much so that we are looking forward to our next visit on Bank Holiday weekend. Thank you Richard for our private air show :)

Worth the wait

This CL is often hard to book because it’s so popular, and it’s not hard to see why! We took the plunge and booked 11 months in advance because all weekend dates we’d tried last year were already booked up so we couldn’t get in. This site is what all CL should aspire to. Basic but clean and well maintained facilities, and the pitches are great. Level and sectioned with screening bushes / quite newly planted trees. Welcoming hosts and respectful fellow campers. It was simply great! Arrival for us was fine. Richard came along as I was looking a bit confused about where to go. I shouldn’t have been though as there is a board in the ‘office/info’ room with a map of pitches that detailed which we were on (great idea!). We were given lots of into about the site itself and the local area, and made to feel very welcome. There was an event on in an adjacent field for the weekend so we were able to watch a glider competition (mini gliders, I’m not sure what you’d call them but they were remote controlled). When that had finished we were treated to a fab bi-plane acrobatic display. This has been, by far the BEST CL we’ve been to and we would not hesitate to recommend it. If you can get a spot here, book it!!!!

Lovely place!

My wife and I broke our CL duck with Hamilton Farm. Wow! The bar has been set very high. A friendly greeting, good facilities and a lovely spot with easy access to places of interest. A free aerobatic display on several occasions was the icing on the cake.
