A wonderful 4 day break

We have just enjoyed four nights at this very quiet and spacious site. We even saw a vintage plane take off and land. Quite thrilling to see a plane taxiing past our caravan! With Romney Marsh close by we were able to do a lot of cycling on flat, quiet roads. Richard, the owner is very friendly and helpful. Don’t miss a visit to the Bilsington Priory for lovely views and a delicious cream tea! We would definitely stay here again.

Such a unique site

Our two night stay at Hamilton Farm was unfortunately cut short due to predicted high winds on our planned departure day but we had a very enjoyable, if short, stay in late September. the site is quite large with plenty of space in each marked out pitch and the facilities were both comprehensive and well maintained. The biggest attraction of this site has to be it's unusual and quirky nature from the amusing signs and camo decor of the buildings to the obvious little signs that this is a site owned and maintained by an engineer. Oh and of course there's an airfield operating right at the heart of it. Unfortunately high winds meant that there was little aircraft activity during our stay but the owner was kind enough to contribute some additional aircraft footage for my film of the site that you can watch here. https://youtu.be/RaexQ7JL7bY

SPOT ON!!!

Recently spent 7 nights on this quiet well thought out site with excellent facilities. Ideal for dog walking, fishing and relaxing. There is also the added bonus of the airfield where you may get to watch the small planes take off and land. Don't forget to keep a lookout for the Spitfire which goes over regularly. Smashing site location - spot on for the coast. With Richard & Sue and of course 'Dylan the Villain' you receive a warm welcome and are always on hand if needed. We will be back.. Still no chance with the 'FISH CHALLENGE'!!!!!!

Amazing....

Was met by Richard upon arrival, who quickly showed us to our pitch which was a good size and in a lovely position with a view across the lake. Lovely clean facilities ( Male & Female ) with dishwashing area too.. Nothing was too much trouble for Richard or his family. It was a lovely experience overall , especially watching my wife do the ' extreme fish feet challenge ' which was a great laugh.. Airstrip is not a problem.. if anything a bonus especially when Richard goes up in his own plane doing stunts.. Amazing again.. Will definitely be returning to this little gem of a site many times hopefully.. If we can get in because of these great reviews, but it deserves it.... Not forgetting Richards dog ' Dylan '... I think he's as laid back as his owner.!

Top notch CL

Stayed here for a week in July after returning from abroad, Richard popped over later to apologise for not being there when we turned up but no matter, the board in the info hut gave our name and pitch location. What a gem of a site with its own airstrip, we saw Richard give a display twice whilst there and the various comings and goings of other aeroplanes throughout our stay. Pitches were very large, facilities excellent with free showers, dishwashing area and two WC's. Dog walk on site with a well maintained path with an invitation to also use the adjacent fields when no livestock on them. Cycle routes along quiet country roads with a nice one down to the Military canal and beyond. Eating out no problem with the closest pub doing excellent food at a good price just one and a half miles away, 'The White Horse' at Bilsington.

What a Gem of a CL Site

What can I say apart from fabulous, first time in this part of the country, we had a fantastic time, the CL was perfect, Richard was so welcoming, nothing was too much trouble for him, the pitches excellent , superb hot shower and toilet facilities, and the cherry on the cake an air display from Richard. We will definitely return to the CL again.

Lovely site

Still quite an open site, but this will improve as the recent planting matures. Generous sized pitches with fishing on site in a couple of ponds. The facilities are good and clean with a generous washing up area. The 5 pitch CL is allied with another 5 pitch area which share the facilities. Very peaceful, although we unfortunately missed Richards air display which had happened the day before our arrival! Richard is really laid back which sets the tone for the site which I would highly recommend

Best Site So Far

As all the other reviews , Richard a lovely fella with a top-notch site . Friendly welcome , spotless facilities (gas showers , so hot and powerful in a large enclosure so no danger of banging elbows) , fishing on-site , small planes to watch occasionally , and gorgeous views .Well situated for South and East Kent , we travelled easily from here to Canterbury , Margate to Dover and down to Hastings . Large Tesco superstore about 10 mins drive . Would highly recommend .

Wow, what a little gem!

What a fantastic site set in amazing countryside. Richard made us very welcome and explained everything that his site had to offer. Lovely large pitches with the most fantastic views over the lake and surrounding countryside. Brilliant walks on the site’s extensive grounds which our little dog absolutely loved. Great well thought out facilities which were always kept lovely and clean. Richard treated us all to an aerobatic display in his bi-plane which was much appreciated by all. On our evening dog strolls we also had the added treat of watching a beautiful barn owl flying over the fields. All in all, fabulous!
