Fantastic find

What a brill time here last week Tuesday to Friday 8/8 to 11/8 . Excellent facilities and a very well run organised site good sized pitches so so peaceful excellent walking and exploring from site and lovely cafe for breakfast on doorstep. Nighttime so quiet and our collie Pebble absolutely loved it with the big play area. Definitely going back soon. Paul and Sharron Howarth

A great place to relax

We only stayed for 2 nights but were very impressed with everything about this site, from the extremely efficient and well organised booking system to the beautifully mown and large pitches which were in the sunshine all day long. The wi-fi is free and very good, something we have not usually come across on other CLs. The emails we received from Andy prior to arrival were very helpful and detailed, showing how much thought has been put into making guests' experience as good as possible. Honeywell's Farm Shop, only a mile away, is one of the best stocked farm shops we have come across and the meat was delicious. We had some tasty cakes from Iced Bakes cafe too. Definitely recommend catching the bus to Garstang and walking back to the site along the canal. Thanks to Andy for creating your excellent CL.

Chill Out at Moss Lane.

Great info and directions supplied by the CL prior to arriving. Nice to have EHU and freshwater at your pitch. Pity we couldn’t pipe the grey water into the hedge at the pitch we where at rather than emptying in a communal area. But understand some CLs don’t like this. The best WiFi we have experienced in the 6 years we have been visiting CLs. Used the local bus services to Lancaster and Garstang. Was an offer on at the time. Only £2 for a single journey. Well worth it. Lancaster, one hour on the bus, is full of history and a busy place. Where as Garstang, only 15 mins on the bus, was a more slower pace and had a Thursday street market on. Went to visit the garden centre in Bilsborrow but unfortunately we couldn’t go in as we had dogs. Turners fish and chips was excellent in Bilsborrow well worth it. Tried the full English breaky at the cafe Iced just outside the CL site. Just have to say I didn’t need anything else that day. Very filling. Thanks ladies.

Must agree

Ditto all the previous comments about the site. Communication excellent and the site met our expectations.; Definitely one to revisit if we’re in the area again - thanks, Andy.

Lovely hideaway

This site is a lovely little hideaway. Quiet & peaceful, very rural but close enough to civilisation and amenities. A super CL with WC & Shower. Next door to a lovely little cafe that is great for a late breakfast, lunch or cake for afternoon tea. The site owner is very friendly and email communication prior to our arrival has been the best we’ve ever experienced. We will definitely be returning to this site.

Very good communications.

We booked this site very easily on line as a stopover, excellent communications and friendly welcome. Very nice CL all round with good dog excercise field adjoining. Enjoyed seeing the lambs playing in the fields. We just missed the coffee and cakes which are on sale on certain days. Plenty to do locally if staying longer with interesting walks too. Many thanks!

A Very pleasant stay

I appreciate the welcome email informing us of what's around the area. Our pitch was practically level for our caravan, did need a little levelling but nothing too drastic. The site is well maintained and nice and clean and easy to access waste areas. On arrival there is a sign indicating how to pitchup which is a very useful aid as well as having information about the layout on hand online too. We had some idea of the area as we have stayed around Garstang before. A lovely walk along the canal side to the Guy's Thatched Hamlet and 2 other pubs. We wanted somewhere to stay for the weekend, Friday till Sunday and found it it be perfect and will no doubt book again. Its a shame that the Barton Grange garden centre nearby isn't dog friendly but that is no fault of this site at all. We travelled to the near by Beacon Fell Country Park with our dog (approx. 6 miles in car), well worth a visit. Fantastic walks and scenery. Perfect CL Site and will definitely book again sometime soon
