BEAUTIFUL CL

We stayed at Green Pig Farm for 5 nights in June. What a fantastic site. We were met by the owner on arrival who gave us the choice of 2 pitches. Very spacious with plenty of room for an awning and to park your car. The grass is kept very short and all the water and disposal facilities are close by. Slightly sloping in places so levelling blocks may be needed. Dog walking area in field next door. Stunning views of the sea and St Michael's Mount. As a bonus the site has a lovely tea room and garden where you can have fabulous cream teas, sandwiches and cakes etc. Throughly recommended and we will definately be back.

Excellent few days

The welcome at Green Pig was wonderful. The site was beautiful with very large pitches and outstanding views. We didn’t have time to visit the Tea Room but it looked beautiful and the cakes as good! Our dog loved the on site dog walk. We have already recommended this site to others and I am sure we will return

Superb location

Very welcoming and accommodating hosts, nothing was too much trouble and we were made to feel special The facilities were excellent as described on the website, very clean and tidy. There is a 14th century pub 35 mins walk away which serves good food and ale 😊 Outside of the site is a bus stop which takes you to Penzance in one direction, and St Ives the other with onward rail connections from either readily available. This is a fabulous CL with magnificent views of St Michaels Mount and the English Channel with the most lovely hosts. A perfect location to both relax and also to explore the rest of Cornwall. We were very pleased and couldn’t recommend it more highly, and will be returning again.

Fantastic Site

This was our 1st time at this site, very friendly and welcoming owners who were very helpful on the area including giving is the bus timetable for the bus that stops outside the site. This is our forever site for this part of Cornwall, can't wait to go back . Ian & Jen Grantham

Excellent site

A lovely site - the kind that you really want to keep to yourself, but that would be selfish!! Very friendly, helpful owners who were very understanding and flexible when we had to change our bookings because of illness. Very well maintained - just like a really good lawn, with all the services easily accessible. A lot of thought has gone into the site. As a previous reviewer has said, there is a road behind, but it is quiet over night and we very quickly 'tuned out' any noise, and we tend to be quite sensitive as we live in a village with very little road noise. The tow off the A30 is a bit tricky but just needs a little care. Tea rooms unfortunately closed by the time we were able to go, but I am sure we will be back to sample them another year. Great location for touring the area, and a lovely part of the country.

Wonderful CL

Just spent 13 nights at this excellent CL. Friendly greeting on arrival, shown pitches, given bus timetable (Penzance to St Ives bus stops at the gate), directions for walk to local pub etc. Grass was short (and was cut regularly as pitches became free). Lovely views over Mounts Bay and surrounding countryside. Road from A30 through Ludgvan a bit narrow in places but seen a lot worse. Some road noise from the adjacent B road, but site next to sharp 90 degree bend in road so traffic slow moving so not a problem. Excellent location for exploring in different directions. To the south only 13 miles or so to Lands End (less to Porthcurno, Mousehole, Botallack etc). Penzance and St Ives both only 3 or 4 miles (recommend bus to St. Ives to avoid parking problems). To the east half an hour to the end of the Lizard, and to the north Portreath, Portowan, Redruth, St Agnes, Perranporth etc all within 45 minutes. Only disappointment (apart from the weather) was that the tea room that we had read so many good reviews about had just closed for the season. Would highly recommend the Green Pig and we will definately return (when the tea room is open!)

The most beautiful Green Pig I have ever seen....

What a smashing CL this turned out to be.....Immaculate, spotless and well maintained. It really had it all...excellent amenity points , waste disposal and 16 amp hook up... The obvious selling point is the tremendous views down onto Marazion and St Michaels Mount....absolutely stunning, so much so, like us you probably wont want to leave it behind!! The family who own it really are a lovely, helpful bunch who show a pride and passion for what they have and do! Great local knowledge and very keen to offer help and advice when needed. To top it all off they provide a fantastic tea room serving superb cream teas and well worth a visit...well several visits to be honest!! A good review is only good if it is truthful and honest....There is a road which does have a steady flow of traffic...not busy but its there. With it comes some noise but, its not that intrusive that it stops you sleeping or wakes you up but it is there if you want to notice it. It is, or was for us, easily blocked out...We didn't find it a problem but just so you are aware... The plus side of this...With a road behind you it means there are great bus routes into Penzance and St Ives...the only way to go to St Ives to be honest as it is that busy. The buses are regular into both places and you catch them right out side the site entrance... The site is very handily placed to see the sites around this part of Cornwall... All in all a very enjoyable stay at a site which is a credit to the Caravan and Motrohome club.....

Excellent

We stayed at Green pig farm for 2 weeks in June /July and I can echo everyone else comments about the site. The owners are great people so friendly and helpful. The site is spotless and well thought out obviously by ex caravaners. The views are just as described looking over to St Michael's mount. We just couldn't fault anything. Whilst there you must visit the tea room run by the site owners for a cream tea.

Lovely site.

We recently stayed 2 weeks on this site and didn't want to leave. The owners are pleasant and helpful, the views are fabulous and the site is well maintained and pretty with shrubs. These things add up to a happy holiday location, when you add to the mix an on-site tearoom serving home made cream teas in a beautiful garden, well! Need I say more? Thank you to all you hard workers at Green Pig Farm, hope to visit again.

A perfect CL site

This site has everything you could ask for. The view of St. Michael mount is breathtaking. The site is so clean and tidy and the pitches are very generous. It is so convenient for lots of coves, beaches and lovely gardens.Neil and Steven are great hosts, the cream teas are the best we have ever had. Just spent two weeks there and will definitely return. Thank you for a memorable holiday.
