Great access to the southern part of LIncolnshire Wolds

We stayed at Grange Farm for 5 nights over New Year 2015/16 which was a return visit for us. This is a super CL with probably more than we, as a motorhome, really need regarding facilities but in the winter months it’s nice to be able to have a long hot shower without using up your entire fresh water tank in one go! The free Wi-Fi was an added bonus. The owners were very friendly and non intrusive and passed through the site walking their dogs most days, so if you did have a query etc., they were on hand. The area has some good walks around the villages of Tetford, Salmonby, Belchford & Fulletby. The ridge by Bluestone Heath Road has some great views towards Lincoln one way & the Lincolnshire coast the other. Our saviour for four out of the five days was The White Hart at Tetford which trebles as a pub [roaring log fire, good selection of real ales & friendly landlord] , tea rooms & village shop [essentials only though]. It was strange how the end of all our walks happened to pass The White Hart! So 10 out of 10 to Diane & Tim for their superb CL.

Grange Farm CL, Salmonby, Horncastle - Lovely CL

Beautifully kept and run CL with a warm, friendly welcome from the owners, Tim and Diane (and also Flossy and Wesley the lovely lurchers and William the handsome horse). The hard standing pitches are well spaced all have fantastic views. There is free wifi, spotless loos and shower and also laundry facilities and a comprehensive information room together with a mown dog walk and even the gravel road was raked! The service area is also spotlessly clean and tidy - the best we have come across on a CL. There is a lovely fishing lake in the grounds of this pristine CL and also 3 stunning pet friendly self catering cottages (out of view of the CL) ideal if friends without caravan or motorhome wish to join you! It's a short walk into the nearby village which has a dog friendly pub (which also doubles as the local village store) that serves food but we didn't actually eat there. We found plenty of places to visit in the surrounding area. We will definitely be back.

Beautiful

What a stunning little CL.  Well thought out pitches, hard standing and well kept lawns between pitches and the edges. Beautiful views over the Lincolnshire Wolds.  Husband fished in the lake and had a few Rudd, Perch and tench.  Plenty of footpaths and the country lane to have a wander in.  Free WiFi was a bonus.  We take our Ragdoll Cat with us and fasten him up (like you would a dog!) he was a bit puzzled by the sight of chickens wandering about the CL, but luckily no chicken was harmed when he set off in hot pursuit of this strange creature.

Excellent CL

Excellent CL, Tim and Diane are very friendly and welcoming thank you. This was our first visit to a cl site as we have just brought our first motorhome. We had a great 4 days and our dogs loved there walks around the cl, grass was cut short, every where was so clean and tidy, couldn't have been any better. Free wifi which was a bonous.  Well done Tim and Diane on a prefect CL . Will definitely be back again.

Well maintained site in beautiful surroundings

Five hard standing pitches with stunning views across the hills. The facilities are very well maintained and a lot of thought has gone into little touches such as the information room where you can find leaflets of local walks etc, but also borrow books, DVDs and board games. The toilet is a fair way away from the five pitches and you'll need a torch at night as there's no lighting. Checking in was a breeze as a blackboard welcomed us and advised our allocated pitch. My only grumble is the assumed gender of my partner - the board said 'Mr and Mrs'.

Excellent

Tim and Diane made us feel very welcome, love the chalkboard to welcome & advise your pitch number! 1st class CL with great, well laid out, clean facilities, information room, pub in village, about 7m to Horncastle which looks worth a visit but didn't have time so will have to go again... very well kept, peaceful, great for dogs & walking in general. Handy for Sutton on Sea, lovely site, will definitely visit again.

Quiet and Friendly

A very nicely laid out site. The access is good and easy. All the facilities, waste disposal, refuse and fresh water are close together and beautifully clean. The Toilets and shower are a bit of a walk away but are worth the effort. If the site is full you may need to use your own facilities more than you might think. Nevertheless it is a site I will be happy to visit again. The presence of a bus service close by is a plus and we can leave our motorhome sited and catch the bus.

A little gem

We booked Grange Farm on the spur of the moment, and were fortunate there was a cancellation. On arrival there is a chalk board with a greeting and your pitch number, Tim and Diane are a friendly, cheerful and helpful couple, explaining everything you need to know about the site and surrounding area. The site is quiet, well set out and beautifully kept, over looking some splendid scenery. We will be returning in the future.

Should be CL of the Year

Stayed for 3 nights in June. It was our 2nd visit to the site after being so impressed 1st time and I cannot think of how you could find a better CL. Good hardstandings for each pitch, well spaced out and with superb views over the Lincolnshire Wolds. Ajacent to the pitches is a hay meadow which has a mown strip around the edge for dog walking and access to the public footpath network, leading to nearby Tetford village ( where there is two pubs - one of which also has a small shop with a limited range of goods - and a cafe/restaurant ) or as far as you want to walk in the countryside. The meadow also provides the highlight of every day when a barn owl swoops over it ( usually around 7.30pm ), clearly in view ( we think it is actually a show-off ! ). The shower/toilet block is immaculately maintained and also has a washing up sink ( indoors ) and a washing machine. I saw that the nearby site at Greetham was voted CL of the Year and I did look closely at that as an alternative to staying at Grange Farm but as far as I could see the Greetham site does not have such good access to public footpaths nor is it as close to a village so I opted for Grange Farm instead and was very pleased with my choice. We will definitely be back.
