Highly recommend

This is a peaceful site, well maintained in a great location. It ticks pretty much every box you could ask for: The site is surrounded by countryside with a selection of walks direct from site. The pitches are large with good separation between them. Each pitch has a hard standing and a grass area. Fairly unusually for a CL, each pitch is a fully serviced pitch providing the convenience of water, grey waste disposal as well as EHU. They are thoroughly cleaned between stays. In fact I would say the whole site is pristine. There is a handy ‘info room’ that provides guided walks, games, DVDs and books. There are pubs within reasonable walking distance but the local pub hadn’t reopened after lockdown. I’m sure they will reopen soon. The only thing missing was a toilet/shower room but this is a CL and good value for everything that they do offer.

Idyllic setting.

This is a very peaceful CL set in large grounds with lovely views from all pitches. Diane and Tim are very welcoming hosts who have spent considerable time and effort in creating a CL with excellent facilities that also includes a well-stocked information hut with leaflets on the area, maps, suggestions for walks, DVDs, board games and a selection of books. There are several good walks directly from the site. Horncastle, Woodhall Spa and Louth are all within a short drive and offer a variety of shops and the coast is approximately 30 minutes away. We really do rate this CL very highly.

Peaceful and tranquil

This is a lovely tranquil and peaceful site. Tim and Diane are lovely hosts, very welcoming and informative. Gated drive to the pitches, with a large board on arrival advising you of your pitch number and how to park. Two very nice toilets and a shower are just a short walk away, but we used our own facilities on board our motorhome but they were lovely and clean, and even had complimentary shower soap and shampoo in case you'd walked down and forgotten to bring yours! There was a very good array of leaflets and maps for walks and local tourist attractions, books, DVD's and games to borrow. There is the most gorgeous lake, primarily for fishing but I could have quite easily 'wasted' many an hour reading a book down at the edge of the lake. We only have the use of bikes when on site but Tim told us of a lovely cycle ride, the roads are quiet so it makes cycling a pleasure, sadly the pub Tim told us about was shut when we arrived. I would just say that if you are in a motorhome, Horncastle, which is 6 miles away, is your nearest shopping centre so it may be a good idea to stock up before you arrive. There is a large Tesco in the town centre which we found easy to park in. Cadwell Park is an easy cycle ride away so if you're into your motorsport this is a good site to consider staying at. If you're looking for a peaceful retreat, look no further.

Heaven

Tim and Diane were very welcoming and helpful. Lovely quiet site, and well kept. Sadly we did not see the barn owl, but listened to the manly tawny owls calling most nights. If you like peace and quiet this is the place

Peace and tranquilly in abundance with on site fishing and a pub in walking distance. Fantastic Adult only site!

This was our first time at this site and we were very impressed with it. The site is found along very quiet country roads and has its own gated driveway. There was a chalk board at the entrance welcoming you by name and advising which pitch number you were on and how to park your caravan. The pitches are level and hard standing and over look a large field as seen in the photo's. The field is kept quite long in the centre but the owners mow a wide path around the edge for you to walk on. There are 2 toilets one male and one female and 1 shower in a building a short walk away. These facilities were immaculate and there was [plenty of hot water available for showering. Just inside the building door was the information room and i must say it is probably one of the best I have seen. There was a multitude of walks, 3 specialised OS map's of the area and a large array of leaflets on places to visit. Also in the foyer area were a large assortment of books and DVD's for guests to borrow. The owners are very friendly and knowledgeable about the area and told us about a fantastic beach approx 25 mins driver from the site as well as other places of interest nearby. We didn't go to the pub in the village due to us having a young puppy with us but other's on site who did recommended it. Speaking to some of angler's on site they caught plenty of fish so if you a fisherman don't forget your rods. From speaking to others on site this is a very popular CL so book in advance and enjoy all it has to offer is my advice.

First time at this site and it was peaceful and quiet, plenty of places to visit and keep your eyes open for the Owl. Will be back in September to another week.

What a little gem of a site 3rd visit

Tim & Diane are the owners and rarely will you experience a better welcome and such a friendly atmosphere during your stay. The site is superb and spotlessly clean and tidy in all aspects. Lovely location in the Wolds with ample attractions and really nice walks and cycling or you can just take in the wonderful views from this very quiet and peaceful site. We just want to book again and return PS really nice pub in the village great atmosphere and food and we had the added bonus of meeting Mark the oldest resident in the Salmonby who played the piano for all the customers in the pub, very enjoyable. Thank you so much Tim & Diane

Near perfection

Tim was cutting the grass when we arrived, but no matter our welcome and pitch number was on the board just after we turned into the site, and as soon as he saw us he came and introduced himself along with site information and help if needed to pitch. Good, level hardstanding with wide grass area if awnings are used, but no groundsheets. No bother for us as we put out our canopy to act as a dry area. Separate Ladies and Gents loo with shared shower and were spotless and within 150 metres from the pitches, warm and spacious with loads of hot water. The information room was a gem catering for all tastes from places to visit to local walking maps. The site itself has direct dog walking around the sites meadow field with ample poo bins, and a strict on lead ruling. External paths/bridleways lead from the site and we enjoyed 4/5 mile walks around the village of Tetford. Nearby pub in the village has a very wide choice including vegetarian, but last week winter opening hours began so check it is actually open, well worth a visit as the food was excellent. Thoroughly recommend this site for staying and its locality for visiting surrounding area.

A Gem of a Site

We have just stayed on this CL for 2weeks and must say we were delighted with it. From the very friendly welcome from the owners Tim and Diane who were always around and happy to answer any questions, the super facilities that were kept immaculate, the information/laundry room and free showers with plenty of hot water. The fishing lake looked inviting and the free Wi-Fi was a bonus and yes it was fast with a strong signal. There are plenty of places to visit nearby and we had a wonderful time here in the Lincolnshire Wolds. Well done Tim and Diane and thank you for your hospitality. Gary and Val.

Don't Tell Anyone

We have found the perfect CL for us. For our first stay in the Lincolnshire Wolds we hit upon Grange Farm. We were in our caravan for 7 x nights from 12th September. The pitches are a good size, flat, well drained and surrounding areas immaculately kept. There is a better than average service point and a small but spotless toilet block which is a little bit of a trek from the pitches but this didn't worry us as we decided to use our onboard shower. The owners Tim & Diane were readily on hand, welcoming and extremely friendly. The pitches overlook an area of grassland leading down to ponds which is a great area for a relaxing stroll but the icing on the cake for us was watching a Barn Owl (sometimes several) hunting in the evenings. The free wifi would put some club sites to shame as would the good TV and mobile reception should you need it. The site was in a prime location for exploring the Wolds, the coast, Lincoln and various air museums. All in all this is a great site but we forsee one downside and that will be getting booked in due to it's obvious and justified popularity.
