What a Great CL Site

Decided on this CL due to location and having read the reviews. It was a very pleasant surprise. Clean well kept site with hard standing or grass pitches and EHU which is metered. There are also 2 toilets one of which has a shower ( also metered £1/7mins). Cleaned daily and a great addition compared to many CL sites. Jenny the owner wasn’t around when we around but she emailed us to let us know which pitch we had been allocated and caught up with her the following day to settle our balance. Location gives good access to Padstow, Rock, Port Isaac , Tintagel & Delabole. Bus picks up right opposite the entrance. Main roads are narrow so be careful if walking or cycling which we did a lot of. Only issue to be mindful of is that pitches 6-9 are gravel but next to hedge by the road which is noisey until late evening. Pitches 1-5 are grassed but away from the road so quieter. All in all great 4 day stop and would use again.

one of the best Cls we have stayed at , we did not have good weather April 24 wet and windy, it is a stunning little site immaculate in every way

Our stay 7th to 14 April 24 Easy access with far reaching views, larger than average pitches ,some grass some hard standing , A lot of work has been done by the owners planting shrubs small trees and flowers , plenty of space to sit out of an evening and simply admire the view, , Shower and wc , cleaned daily and immaculate, we also used the washer/drier very handy on a small site , Would we go again? Yes we will and sooner the better its lovely.

Brilliant CL

Second visit here and as usual a great welcome to a fantastic site run by the loveliest couple, Jenny and Steve and not forgetting Sophie the dog.Nothing is to much trouble and their local knowledge is Second to none. This is definitely the best CL we have stayed at, and it would be hard to find better. Already looking forward to our next visit in 2024 if not sooner.

Just lovely

We spent a lovely week here. Shame about the weather, but it didn't stop us. Lovely big pitches, having trees and shrubs for your boundary. The view when clear is lovely too. Near to all that you would want to visit. The owners are very friendly and helpful, full of information.

Little Gem

We have just had the most wonderful 2week stay at Dunree 1/7 til 15/7/23. Jenny is friendly and helpful, her partner is full of recommendations for place's to visit or eat out. He keeps the site very well maintained as does Jenny. Facilities are spotless and we found no problem with keeping the electric supply in credit approx £ 3 per day. Yes we would have liked far better weather but hay ho this is beyond control. Unfortunately fellow camper's packed up aday early............? had they shared their knowledge of an almighty storm heading our way we too could have prevented the loss of our full size awning!!! Thanks to all other campers who rushed to our aid in attempting to save the awning. Sadly there is no dog walking designated on/near site, which is off putting. Yes we recommend Dunree.

Large, beautifully maintained grassy site with views

Just one night here but no complaints. Easy check-in and great grass pitch with plenty of space. Not particularly aware of the nearby road. Really good to have access to large shower room with loo. We did a nice circular walk through the fields nearby. And a splendid breakfast, as recommended, at ‘Sea View’ farm shop, 0.75 miles up the road. In response to previous reviewer: yes you need £1 coins for elec and shower (we only spent £3 on elec) and there are a lot of (helpful) signs. But it all makes for a comfortable stay.

Dunree, SIMPLY a lovely CL!

Firstly let us thank Jenny and Steve for a wonderfully warm welcome! This CL is a very very well maintained site, from the moment we turned into the drive, there are little surprises all over this site, well done Steve your unusual artwork really makes the individual think. There is a nice fish and chip shop in Delabole, and a few farm shops with cafes or restaurants. Jenny and Steve will give you all the gen on the local establishments. The CL does suffer from a little road noise but coming from a busy area of Swamsea we didn't find it too much and at night there was very little noise. Wadebridge about 8 miles from the site is a lovely town with some nice cafes and bars. Steve can give you all the gen on the local Cornish pasties (mmmmm). All in all this is a cracking place to take a break! Again THANKS Jenny and Steve, we found you to be very nice people!

A pristine CL

Dunree is a beautifully maintained site with everything you would need for a CL. There are 8 pitches spread out nicely in a horseshoe to choose from, 3 of which are hard standing. There are WCs and a shower, as well as a laundry room and an area to wash crockery etc, plus a recycling and bin point, all of which are well labelled and very clean and tidy. There's a central water filling point and EHU on all the pitches. Jenny was there to greet us upon arrival and she and her partner were helpful and friendly at all times. We used this site to walk a stretch of the SWCP and found it easy to do this. There is a bus stop just down the road which links you to Tintagel and Port Isaac and Rock. The views across to Bodmin Moor are wonderful. It does mean that it can be a bit windy but that wasn't a problem. We did notice the road noise as we were backed onto it and we are not used to that at home. Someone else mightn't mind that at all and the grass pitches are further away from the road. We'd happily revisit this site for its cleanliness, friendly and accommodating owners and handy location.

Well maintained, small site.

Very nice site, road noise slightly intrusive, owners extremely helpful, only issue being charged extra for towing a car from the back of our camper (£1/night), overall length less than a caravan and car!
