2 days in September

Very enjoyable stay in September. Spacious, well kept and clean. Recommend Trebarwith Strand but don't go via Trebarwith village - very narrow roads! The road outside is surprisingly busy - and dog walking around the site is all on the lead. So much to see round this area so will certainly be back.

What a great place to visit.

Having read previous reviews I was unsure what to expect in terms of the number of vans. I should not have had those doubts. This site is generous in size and the welcome was warm. All of the facilities are clean and well presented, and the grass was short. While gently sloping it was easy to get the motorhome level with our ramps. There are great views across open country side and the site is perfectly placed to visit anything between Bude and Newquay and over to the south coast. I would recommend the Port William Inn at Trebarwith Strand for an evening meal. Do not forget to take you camera for great pictures towards Gull Rock, particularly in the evening. I will assuredly stay here again when next in Cornwall. I noted that a "For Sale" board was up outside the house so I am unsure if it will still be operating, time will tell.

Nice summer holiday

On first arrival very nice site nice and clean well kept. Did notice however there was more than five units on site.. Saying that we found out that one unit was the guy that was helping them to run the site for the summer as the owner was unwell. We were there for two weeks and unfortunately at some points there were 7 units on site including the helper! One of the nights we were there two tents were on the site!! When we complained the Owner said it was their Grandson and some friends visiting them! Mmm still not right don't think this site should be a CL site as clearly they cater for more than 5 units at any one time, as there were 6 electric hookup boxes with 3 connections in each. So to sum up if ur happy to go to a CL site that will probably have more than the 5 units allowed then this site is for you. We wouldn't book here again.

A great stay!

Arrived here as a stop over to travelling on down to Lizard. On arrival, was shown where to pitch by the owner which was great. OK the road next to the Cl is noisy but not intrusive. The site is well situated for all the attractions of the north coast including Boscastle, Tintagel and  Padstein(!) and we enjoyed our visits to dome of these places. The weather during our visit was good and we enjoyed our time chilling on the site especially in the company of the very helpful Lol and Sandy who made our stay. Thank you to all and best wishes to Pam and Alan. Gill and Roger.

lovely stay

Just left this lovely site, friendly owners. Really friendly and helpful holiday makers, who had been before.  Lovely coastal  walks.  Bus service a bit hit and miss  but added to the cornish charm  and chilled out way. Shower and toilets were ok.  Would recommend  the local pub  nettle and chissel. Would come back again.

May 2016 Weekend

We arrived to a good welcome by the owners and £14 per night. A large level field that was well mown with plenty of electric hookup. Four other caravans were present. It is an open and exposed site that was very windy. The toilet and shower (80p token) were very clean. There are good country side views looking out on Rough Tor on Bodmin moor. Tintagel, Rock and Port Isaac are all nearby. We would stay here again.

A Great Site

Mark and I have just returned from 8 nights staying at Dunree in Delabole. It is a perfect base as you are able to access many places without any problems. The site only has one hard standing pitch which was ready for us as requested, so if you prefer one remember to request it when you book. The site has a toilet and a shower room/toilet, laundry facilities and wash up facilities too. The site is maintained beautifully and Alan is very friendly and accommodating. Overall I think it is an excellent site and would recommend it highly....

Amazing site, despite other reveiws

Just come back from a fantastic week here, thought we'd give it a go despite one off putting review. so glad we did, I think the bad reviewer must have had bad weather!!!!! The site was very clean, all amenities were fantastic. Scones and fresh eggs were 'to die for'! I would like to thank the owners for such a lovely visit and we will definitely be returning in the near future.

Beautiful LocalPlacesOfInterest

The views were stunning from this site and the site is extremely well maintained. Although it is on  main road we didn't notice the traffic at all. Delabole is in walking distance and is a very pretty village where you can catch the bus to a number of locations including Boscastle and Tintagel. The buses don't run very late so it is worth planning your route back!
